"Oh darling, you look fab!" My mother decided to repeat the whole time after my dress was put on, and my hair straight out. Previously, I had an appointment with my trusted hairdresser who dyed the bottom half of my hair a light brown.
"Thanks," I replied awkwardly. I was in front of the mirror and staring at my reflection. In about an hour, I'm going to be a wife. How exciting(!)
My friends were invited and they came, excluding Kyungsoo who said he had 'stomach problems'.
"You look so cute!" Sooyoung gushed from behind while touching the material of my silky dress and I gave her a roll of my eyes.
"Aw, I wonder who you're marrying. Nobody told us," Seulgi added while frowning. Hm, I don't know how I'm going to break it to them that I'm marrying their crush.
"Who are you marrying?" Sooyoung tried pestering me into having no choice but to say it. "Tell us, you must know."
"I forgot," I lied bashfully. Obviously I didn't forget! Seulgi breathed in loudly from behind which meant she knew something was fishy.
"Are you ready to shine?" My father scared me from behind. He had a huge smile bared on his normally frowny, stressed-out face and his hands were clasped together. "You look like my little princess. Remember when you were younger and we used to dress you up in clothes like this?"
Oh great, the nostalgic memories fathers usually tell you on your wedding day.
"Yes," I clamped my teeth together and replied to him quite forcefully in embarrassment. Doesn't he realize my friends are behind us?
"Let's get you readied for the special time," he pulled me out of the dressing room and into some narrow hallway, a door away from the actual wedding hall.
My mother ran towards us and handed me a necklace with a diamond pendant. "I wore this on my wedding day. Now I'm handing it to you."
Although it was pretty cheesy, my heart warmed up nevertheless. "Thank you, mom." She helped me fasten it on my neck and it went pretty nicely with the whole outfit. My father faced me with a mix of emotions in his brimming eyes.
"We are so proud of you. That you'd lose a year of your life being a wife to keep our grandfather happy in his grave." And he hugged me.
"You're going to ruin my makeup, you bunch of babies," I laughed shakily, tears already threatening to fall out.
"Let's get you ready for this exciting day!"

I was standing at the altar alone. Awesome, the groom was late to his own wedding. Apparently he was stuck in traffic. My friends gave me helpless looks while they sat at the front.
"Where are they?" My mother was growing impatient by the second, her heels tapping the glossy wooden floor loudly and her arms crossed together.
"Can I just go home?" I mouthed to my mother discreetly and she glared at me.
"We're here! So sorry," I sighed out in relief once the cool people in our school, Kai, Chen, Kris and more, began piling up the room. That meant Baekhyun was definitely coming. His parents sat at the front and apologised continually to my annoyed parents, who slowly calmed down.
My friend's mouths widened once they saw the Baekhyun walk up to me wearing a black suit. He looked pretty handsome, if I had to be honest. His hair was still black and kind of fluffy.
