{CHAPTER ONE ,
— ❝ nikes ❞ }"I HATE SCHOOL." May mumbled, kicking rocks as she walked. "Hate, hate, hate." She repeated, a pout on her lips.
Maliah rolled her eyes. "You've never even been." She looked at her. "We haven't even stepped foot on the grounds yet."
May shrugged, looking up at the sky. "Please, Yemanya. Let this day come to an end." She prayed, her hands clasped together as she shut her eyes tightly.
"This day," Maliah started, "Hasn't even started." She looped her arm into Mays, guiding her to where she thought the front office was. She liked to act like she knew what she was doing. Truth is, she had no clue. "There are a lot of boys in this school." She looked around.
"And, they're all in uniforms." May added, "Not to mention, they are hot."
Maliah tugged on her arm, turning right. "Keep it in your pants, May." She scoffed. She opened the doors for the both of them, walking into one of the buildings. "It says it should be here."
"What says?"
"This map," She pin pointed where they were, a confused look on her face.
"That map," May took the map, flipping it. "Is upside down." She looked at where they were. All the classrooms were filled now, the bell having rung as they walked in. "This says, chem-is-try block." Her eyebrows furrowed, the word spilling out of her mouth like posion. "What the hell is that?"
The sudden sounds of jocks, not that the girls even knew what jocks were, filled the halls. The laughs and jokes echoed, and the two found themselves squirming as the noise got louder.
"Should we leave?" Maliah questioned, looking back at the door they had entered through.
May shook her head, turning around as well. The sound got louder. "I wanna know what chemtry is."
"Do you mean chemistry?" The two girls whipped around, to see a trio of highly maintained, preppy-uniform boys standing there.
"Uh— yeah." Maliah nodded, elbowing May slightly. "We're trying to find the front office."
"Yeah, so." The blonde one started, grabbing the map out of Maliahs hand and crumbling it up. "You wanna start by walking out of this school and into the one next to us—"
"What, why?" May questioned, cutting him off.
The boy scoffed lightly, "If you hadn't noticed, this is an all boys school. Ashfield Boys Highschool." He stated. "So unless you're hiding something in your pants, i suggest you shut up and listen."
"Well, I suggest," May laughed, "You don't tell me to shut up, or i'll rip that tie off your neck and strangle you with it." She snapped, a sarcastic smile on her face.
Maliah huffed, pushing May back with a smile. "What she meant was, thank you for helping. We appreciate it." She spoke, grabbing her hand and walking out.
"Do you have a name?" The blonde one called out, an arrogant smile across his lips as he watched them leave.
May turned around, a taunting look on her face. "Yeah, my names 'suck my dick'!" She stuck up the middle finger, turning back around to continue walking with Maliah.
