Chapter - 4

Raiden Grayson

After leaving the auditorium, something hit me hard. Shit, I could just give her the bag. Why did I take her hand and started warming it up... I must have been crazy... she felt uncomfortable... and why did I care for her cold hand? Something's wrong with me.

"Why are you so zoned out, Raiden?" aunt Suzie (Ms. Grayson) asked. "Nothing, aunt." I let out a sigh. "Let's talk now. Then, you might go and play basketball." She said to me.

I followed her to the room.

- Raiden. You know Lia, right?

- Yeah, I do. Why?

- Are you guys close enough?

- No. we just talked a few times. Why?

- Like, you saw her missing the lectures frequently and also something seems wrong. Did you talk to her too? Did she seem good?

- Yeah, she talked fine. But she looks a bit pale, doesn't she? And I accidently had a contact with her hands and they were as cold as ice. So, I gave her the warmer. It might be, she is a bit sick?

- Oh. You have grown as a gentleman. Thanks, dear. I will check on her the next time. And, we'll be going to the field trip for like 5 days in an abandoned village. We'll be out there to collect information, have a small trip with friends and teachers and we'll be staying in cottages in those areas. As I'm the room teacher of Lia and others, yours will be the same as you guys are the same class. Mr. Mason will inform you. You're dismissed now. Don't get hurt while playing.

I leave her room and doesn't pay attention to what happened before and go to my classroom. I packed my bag and looked out. The view of the badminton court was so clear from my room. I saw Lia playing with her friends. "Damn, she plays well." I take my bag on my shoulder and run to the changing room to change into my jersey and shorts.

We all passed our day nicely and it was time to go home. I left with aunt Suzie along with Lia cause she had lectures today and I live there.

While they had their time, I made some foods for them and gave it to them. After that, I lied down on the couch and started scrolling on my insta.

I was quite amused by her profile. A dark aesthetic profile. With the same amount of following and followers. Some expectations for celebrities. An aesthetic profile pic of her.

"Raiden, it's too dark outside. Can you take her home safely?" aunt said from the study room while Lia was getting out of the room. "It's okay, Ms. Grayson." Lia replied in a soft voice. "Me? Okay. I have no problem." I replied. "Don't hassle yourself for me." Lia replied in a serious tone. "Miss, I'm free so it's okay." I replied with a chuckle.

We put on our shoes and walk slowly. She looks so exhausted.

"Are you actually fine?" I finally let out my stuck words. "What are you talking about?" She replied. "Like about your health." I replied. "I'm fine." She replied with a sigh. "You don't look fine, though. Take good care of your health." I take the bag from her shoulder and walk her home. Such a big nice house. Woah...

"Thanks for the hassle." She softly expressed. "It's fine. You stay here alone?" I said in awe. "No. Why would I stay in such a big house alone? My parents and sibling stay too." She replied. She takes the bag and waves at me. She surely was tired as hell. After reaching her safely to home, I walk to home too. It was like 10 minutes away from my house if we walked. Close enough. After reaching, I sat for dinner with my aunt.

- Raiden, we'll leave tomorrow together at 7:10 a.m. I have some heavy stuffs to carry. Help me out.

- Okay, but, aunt, won't I be late if I leave at 7:10?

- It's okay cause I'll be with you.

- Okay then.

After finishing eating, we washed the dishes by ourselves and went to our own room.
