"ENJOY YOUR conversation, Kate?" Connor asks, a mocking undertone in his voice.
"Don't be like that Connor, I didn't want to talk to him." I frown, and he sighs.
"I'm sorry, I just— I don't like him." Connor mumbles, and I nod.
"I know you don't. Nobody does." I comfort, and he smiles at me. "Did you already pay?"
"Yeah, I did. You ready to go?" He asks, and I smile as I nod again.
"Angel, wait! I wanted to ask if uh... if you wanted to go out sometime? I enjoyed catching up." Xander says quickly, causing me to glare at him.
Before I can even answer, Connor storms out the door without a word. I turn to follow him, but Xander stops me.
"I never got my answer, Angel." He reminds, his smirk on his face like always.
"Oh! Right. let me ask my friends." I say quickly, going on my phone and texting my group chat. They all say no immediately, and I smile sarcastically as I turn the phone to show Xander. "The group chat says no, sorry!"
I push him out of my way before running out to find Connor, who's angrily walking away from me. I have to practically run to catch up to him.
"Connor! Wait up!" I shout.
"No, go with you're fucking boyfriend." He grits.
"Don't be like that!" I shout, "I didn't ask him to ask me on a date."
Connor continues walking, and I struggle to keep up. I beg him to stop once more, and he finally does, but only to shove the bag of books into my hands, and then he keeps walking.
"Connor!" I yell. "Stop being an asshole. I didn't do anything to you!"
He spins around to look at me and glares at me. If looks could kill I would've been dead immediately.
"You entertained him! You spoke to him! You let him call you angel!" Connor replies, his anger obvious in his eyes and tone.
I frown. "Con, I—"
"Don't." He spits, warning me not to push it, but I do anyways.
