"Call JungKook again." Grandma spoke out of nowhere while we were sitting on the couch. We frowned at her. "Why?" I asked. "Just call him."
Well, we had to obey her otherwise we would be dead so let's just call JungKook once again. Mom looked at me and I showed my hand, signalling it's fine. I took out my phone and called JungKook.
"Can you come right now?" I asked with anxiety as Grandma would kill me if he wouldn't come. 'But I came yesterday?' Poor thing was confused. "My grandma wants to meet you again."
He sighed. "Okay fine, will be there in 10." He hanged up the call. Mom was holding her head while Grandma was praying. 'Mom in law, he's coming.' said my mom.
My mom always called Grandma Mom in law, and so did my aunt. She was so nice to her daughter-in-laws, she never mistreated them or have been rude to them. Instead, they treated them like her own daughters.
Soon later, the bell rang. Our maid went to answer it and the door opened revealing JungKook. 'I'm here!' He announced and sat down on the couch beside me. "Good." Grandma smiled.
"So I wanted to discuss something really important, JungKook." Grandma's smile turned to furrowed eyebrows, the same happened to our faces. "Yes?" JungKook also formed a frown on his face.
"How long have you and Lisa been dating?" She asked. "Aaah... " I turned to look over at JungKook and spoke. "Five years!" He said before me, ugh, he messed it all up.
I would have said five months. 'Great, so you must know each other really nicely. In conclusion or in simple language, I want you two to get married.' Grandma announced.
Everyone got real quiet in the room, Dad was always quiet but he was much more right now, Mom had a blank expression.. And JungKook, he had a smile and a sad expression both on his face.
"Mom in law, what do you mean?" Mom asked. "I want JungKook and Lisa to get married, to start a family!" Grandma raised her voice a bit which made Mom flinch.
"Mom please! Take your decision wisely, you have just met JungKook and now you think Lisa should marry him?" Dad finally spoke, after a decade of years. "KasimChai Manoban!"
'You're forgetting I chose your wife in five minutes, my sense is pretty strong so I don't want you to doubt it.' Grandma continued. My mouth was still open. I looked at JungKook.
"I'll-I'll ask my mother." He stood up. 'Sure.' I nodded and sighed. JungKook left and there was nothing in the room, but silence. I felt like I was about to cry, why is this happening to me?
Why I can't just continue my studies and focus on my career instead of marriage? Why is Grandma just doing this? I'm so annoyed of everything! I just want to tell Grandma the truth and rather whatever happens.
I DON'T WANT TO GET MARRIED!
