She looks at me with widened eyes. "I didn't think you would marry me." Jennie avoided eye contact and looked down. 'It's... a forced marriage, Jennie.' I lifted her face and said.

"Yeah, right. Anyways, are you fine now? You had too many injuries before." She asked as she looked at my skinny hands, which were bleeding. I weakly smiled at her. "I'm fine, Jennie." I answered as she nodded.

"Have you brought my phone?" I looked around for my phone. She nodded and stood up, 'It's in the living room, I'll go get it.' I hummed in response before I lay down on the bed again.

No idea how Rosé and Jisoo would react at this, as I was lost in my thoughts, I heard the door opening and there was Jennie, she smiled at me and gave me my stuff. My makeup and phone was in the bag.

"Thanks Jen." I took out my phone and turned it on. As it did, it revealed nine missed calls from Rosé, five from Jisoo, seven from Mom and ten from Dad. Shoot! I have messed up.

Jennie noticed the weird look on my face and cleared her throat which turned my eyes to her. "I hope everything's... okay?" She asked with worry. I nodded and gave my toothy smile to her. 'Too many missed calls from my friends and parents.'

She smirked and then shook her head. "Oh here, is your tea!" She took the tray and gave me a cup filled with tea. 'Thanks Jennie, would you like to tell me why you live alone?' I frowned and asked.

Her face turned into a blank one, while she stared at nothing. "Only if you're comfortable..'' I added. She sighed and saved her friendly look for me. "I'm comfortable to tell you. Hope you won't judge me." She said as she took the second cup in the tray.

She kept the tray aside again on the side table and closed her eyes before she started. With every moment passing, I could hear my heart beat getting faster. Damn! This girl really has to do so much drama!

"I was born in New Zealand, my parents were never in a healthy relationship, Dad had a mistress and Mom... didn't care, at all. When Dad got to know that my older brother was dating someone, he killed him. Mom reported him to the police and he ended up getting death sentence. Later on, my mom tried to gang up with me to steal all of Dad's wealth from my aunt, dad's sister to which I disagreed. She, disappointed, disowned me and I started to beg on streets for money. When I collected some, I went to school and as well did begging in the evening. After completing 5th grade, I finally started working part time job. Just then, a lawyer came up to me and told Dad named all his wealth to me before death sentence. And here I am, now."

My jaw dropped, oh how I regret bullying her. She suffered so much. 'And where's your Mom, now?' I said as I took a sip of the tea. She chuckled. "I don't know, maybe God knows." I hugged her slightly before I again sipped my tea.

"You make good tea by the way." I complimented her and she gave me her gummy smile. Cute.. I'm so lucky to marry my crush!
