All I see is red, and Set smiles while walking in a circle, ready for me to make the first move. I was crazy to think I could fight him, a former god, but all rational thoughts ran out of my mind. I clenched my teeth angrily and yelled, charging towards him, who quickly blocked my attack. I jumped back, and he cocked his head to the side. "Elise darling, this battle is futile. I have already won." I refused to listen and charged at him again; he quickly stepped to the side and let me fall. I fell on my hands and knees, sobbing.

"Elise, just give me the sands of time." I shook my head, "No." I felt his charge towards me, and I was going to accept it, allowing him to kill me in hopes I could be with the ones I love. I winced, waiting for his attack, and then it got quiet. I looked up and saw I was in a bubble, and Set was pounding on it furiously. I was confused until I heard Hathor say, "Use the sands of time." I panicked and pulled it out of my pocket. "I don't know how to use it." then her voice echoed again, "Follow your heart." I yelled back, "Really!?" I was annoyed but felt my time running out as Set kept pounding the magical barrier surrounding me.

I held the hourglass, flipped it upside down, and began thinking about Caesarion right before he was attacked. At first, nothing happened, but I started breathing in and out and focused until I felt sand surround me, and in an instant, I was a few feet away, watching Caesarion talking to me. I looked at Set. He was lifting his staff, and immediately, I ran. My legs felt like jello, but with all the energy I had left, I pushed myself so hard, and I ran behind, blocking Set from striking Caesarion and getting him with the blow instead. I yelled out in pain as it hit my shoulder. I fell to the ground crying out in pain, and Caesarion looked at me confused but acted quickly and spun around with the deathly wings now into blades and chopped off Set's head. I looked over to where I stood, and it dissolved into sand. Now, I was in my past self's place in time.

Caesarion ran to me, and I looked at him with tired eyes. "Did you do it?" he asked, confirming, and then pressed his head against mine. "You are so stupid. Why did you do that?" I began crying. "Because I lost you once, and I wasn't going to let it happen again." He looked at my arm and pulled the spear out, making my arm go limp and blood squirting out. He quickly ripped a piece of my shirt, and I made a joke in a daze. "Just finding a way to rip my clothes off, huh?" He had a skeptical look. "You are unbelievable, Elise." I smiled. "Why, thank you." I guess I was losing a lot of blood because I began laughing giddily. Caesarion looked over to Set's head.

"We have to bury his head somewhere sacred, so they will never find it." I looked at him. "Wait, is he not dead?" He sighed and helped me up. "He was a god, and even though you cut up a god, it doesn't mean they are truly dead; once you are a god, you are always a god." I bit my lip anxiously and heard my name; we both turned to see Isla and Thea, along with other maidens, in cars. "The cavalry is here!" I said out loud, and Isla rolled her eyes and ran over to us. "I need a sack, and if you can please take her, she needs to be healed," Caesarion said, passing me over to her, but I pouted at him. "Why are you not coming with me?" He sighed. "I need to take care of this alone." My heart beat faster, almost like I would never see him again. As if he read my thoughts, he brushed his hand over my cheek and kissed me. "I promise I will be back." Isla was tugging on me gently to go, but I stood my ground until he turned away, walking towards Set. "He will be back," Isla said, assuring me, and I turned and walked with her.

After the battle with Set, I went with the maidens to one of their secret hideouts in Egypt. My wound was sewn shut, and I had to have my arm in a sling. I was so tired. The ambrosia gave me energy during the fight, but just as it gives you energy, the side effect is it makes you highly thirsty and weak. I fought so hard to keep my eyes open, waiting for Caesarion to come to me, but eventually, I succumbed to sleep. I woke groggily and looked at Thea, sleeping at my bedside. "Hey, what time is it?" She lifted her head and stood up from her spot when she looked at me. "Oh my gods, you are awake!"
