Am I wrong
Have I got this right
Am I missing the moment
Am I a sign of the times
Like the notch on a buckle
That won't pull tight
Well I've seen some things honey that god wouldn't touch with a knife
To leave it behind is like grieving the dead sometimes

----

I have so many places that feel like home

I've known so many faces that my head can't keep a holdRemember when we prayed for rain
And those nights would keep us warm
We tore apart the old, but I've since gone back and missed it all

----

Sometimes

We all hide behind those fearsOf getting caught up here
And breaking out through the atmosphere
And I wonder
Where do we go from here
Where do we go from here

IT'S been at least half an hour since we ran from the scene of crime. The crime where we all witnessed Ward Cameron claim his next victim and shoot Gavin Barnstead.

Now, here were back on the same street. Only difference? Instead of being on the roof of the store opposite the construction site building...we were inside the construction building.

Kie had called the cops and the result of it was Shoupe and a couple more of his deputies standing here, examining the place.

I felt rage inside me, yet somehow I felt inferior in front of Shoupe as his sharp narrowed eyes stayed trained on me, as though, expecting me to break down in front of him or explode in disastrous way.

I'm not gonna give him the satisfaction, either way, as I stand with a poker face on. While Kie and Pope explained everything that we had witnessed half an hour ago.

"Look, it was right here and this is where the maniac claimed his next victim!" Kie attempted to explain to Shoupe, whose face I could already read and knew that he didn't believe anything we were saying. "Right there!" She pointed to the spot.

"Uh-huh? His next victim?" Shoupe's sarcastic question irked me to scream at him. "Right...and uh, how long ago did you say that happened?" He asked.

"Forty-five minuets ago," JJ replied as he stood up. He had crouched down to check the floor and see if the blood had stained the wooden flooring.

"And, so, Ward Cameron just popped one off and shot him?" Shoupe said, disbelief was clear on his face. Kie and JJ nodded as I still kept on poker face and glared at him.
