Chapter 9

Luke's POV

Lilly decided to actually study together since her brother was home, we did study about half the time the other half was either making out or talking. It was a little after five and we heard the door open as her mom walked in, "Hey you two, what do you want for diner the chicken is still too frozen?" I looked at Lilly as a big grin started to take place, "What about Chinese it has been forever since we have had that." Lilly partly on her knees begging her mom. Grace just nodded and asked what we wanted and then went downstairs to order it, "You like Chinese right?" I looked at her, "Of course, who doesn't?" we both laughed, closed our books and headed downstairs.

Lilly walked over to the couch and plopped down onto it, signaling me to come, I walked and sat right next to her in the corner of the couch. Lilly leaned against me sideways and placed her head on my lap.

Lilly's POV

I laid on his lap for a minute or two and sat up, "Your lap is uncomfortable for my head." we both laughed and I grabbed a pillow then continuing to lay on his lap, he stroke my hair and my side, I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I remember was Luke trying to wake me because the food was here, "Oh, really already?" "You fell asleep, it has been like twenty minutes." I rubbed my eyes and got up walking over to the table to eat.

"Derek food!" My mom shouted up the stairs and we heard my brother running down the stairs when he heard the f in food. "Hey mom on Friday there is a back to school party would you care if I went?" "Sure but if you drink either stay there or call me, I know how party's are." "I know mom and I wont but if I get to tired I will probably stay there, it's Miranda's house so she wont mind." "Okay, but I want a text message the very next morning." she replied strictly, "Okay, okay." I smiled and continued to eat.

"See you tomorrow Luke." I hugged him goodbye, knowing that he wont be back tonight, since I told him not to, "Night baby, see you tomorrow." he stole a kiss and left.

"So, what movie are we going to watch?" Derek stared at me, then at mom, as me and mom exchanged looks. "What do you two not watch movies anymore?" I looked at him, "Well, we do just not a whole lot together..." I paused as I looked at my mom, then at Derek, "Well, that is going to change." he went over to the shelf where all of our movies are and picked one, "Well get over here!" I looked at my mom who was smiling, as I returned her a smile I wrapped one arm around her waist as we walked over to the couch. "Why did you guys stop watching movies together, we use to always do it before I left?" "I don't know, it just wasn't the same without you." I gave him a big smile, as my moms went away obviously feeling guilty. For the next three hours we watched my brothers favorite movie, Lord of the Rings, which was very good since I haven't watched it in two years.

After the movie ended I yawned and went to take a shower and go to bed.

Luke's POV

I walked to Lilly's locker, noticing she was there I looped my hand around her stomach, bringing her in for a hug, she turned around and gave me a hug back but when she pulled away her eyes were red and puffy from crying, "What happened?" I looked at her with a worried expression, "Nothing" she closed her locker and started to walk over to Stacy, quickly grabbing Stacy by the arm they hurried off to the bathroom, I was still confused and worried about what happened to make Lilly cry as much as she was, I have only saw her like that, when we were in fifth grade.
