Chapter 14

Grace's POV

After the doctor explained everything I left Luke and Stacy there while I went home and got clothes and showering stuff.

Ring, ring

Grace- Hey mom, I know the text must have scared you a little bu-

Her mom- A little!? That damn text made me jump out of my chair at work! I am on my way home to get some stuff then I will be on my way to the airport.

Grace- Okay mom, but.... the doctor said that... it might be a while before she wakes up... Pack a lot of clothes if you are coming.

There was silence I could here my mom start to cry, so I did too

After the conversation ended I was back in the car on the way to the hospital.

"Hey, how is she?" Luke looked at me, I could tell he was crying, but I didn't say anything, "Still asleep, Stacy had to go, I told her I would keep in touch." I nodded my head and sat down, they wouldn't let us in the room until she was stable.

Intercom- visiting hours will be ending in thirty minutes, thank you for coming.

I sighed and looked at Luke, "I will be back as soon as I can." I smiled and said okay then I was embraced in a hug. If she doesn't go stable soon I will have to leave.

"Grace?" I stood up right away as a doctor walked toward me, "As I said earlier she probably wont wake up for while but you can stay with her. She will be fine we just need her to wake up." I started crying a little and thanked the doctor as I hurried to my daughters room.

Luke's POV

It has been a month and three week since Lilly went into the hospital, I go to school some days, Stacy says that Kyle hasn't been there at all and now he is a missing child, his parents have not seen him since either.

I was in the waiting room getting a coffee from the vending machine, they still wont let me in her room until she wakes up even Grace cant get them to let me in. "Luke." I looked toward the nurse, "Yea?" "Your girlfriend.. Lilly, she just woke up, you can go-" I didn't even hear the rest I dropped the coffee and ran to her room. I stood in the doorway, Grace let Lilly out of her arms and I ran into Lilly's arms and started to cry.

"What happened?" she was confused Grace looked at me then her, "What is the last thing you remember?" "Well.... I remember running to stop the fight, I saw how bad Luke's face looked, then I got-" she stopped talking and looked at me, her face got worried and confused, "How long was I out for, your bruises are all gone?" I looked at Grace, so did Lilly, "Mom?" Grace looked at the floor, "Almost two months, the doctors said you might have been out for a while." she looked back at Lilly whose hand was over her mouth and eyes were wide open, she started to cry. I wrapped her in my arms and stroked her head as she cried harder and harder.
