Chapter 1

SAMAIRA

Sometimes sitting in the garden and talking with your best friend is what you all need, but these moments do not last longer even if we want them to last forever.

Same thing is happening with me. I want to spend my weekend with my bestie chilling and gossiping about all the things but my work doesn't allow me to.

For me my best friend mahi is my only family, she is the only one i have in my life since I lost my parents, she is with me from last 13 years, at the age of 12 i lost my parents, after being alone for 2 years i met her on my birthday she is like a lucky charm to me she is my soul sister.

But the day she got separated from him she is also not herself, life always have been unfair with her, let's not talk about it cause the memories makes her very sad, she also have a fucked up family and I'm glad she is out of that toxic family and staying with me.
This way I get to see my soul sister more and also I don't feel alone.

"Let's go sam or else you'll get late for your important work"
Mahi said while standing up from the bench.

"Yeah let's go or because of being let I will lost the last chance to catch the shitty people"
I said to her while walking to our apartment

Mahi is a cafe owner. She always wanted to open her own cafe and here she is with her cafe which also has a small library attached to it. Her cafe is quite famous and she makes the best coffee, my favourite.
Her unhealthy obsession with coffee, books and cakes made her open a cafe and she completed her dream. I'm so proud of her.

The apartment where we live together is not that far away from the garden. It's just walking distance. Whenever I get time, me and mahi both come here to meet our tiny friends over here.

All the children who come in this garden to play are all our friends they're literally so cute, another reason for coming to the garden and spending 2-3 hours playing with them, though mahi is their most favourite cause she brings cake for them.

After 10 minutes of walking we reached our apartment and I entered my room to pack my bag for 3 days. I'm going out of town for my work purpose.

Guess guys, what's my profession?

Let me tell you guys I'm 26 year old and I'm a lawyer by profession and I have my own law firm, which previously was run by my father but after his death it was abandoned so after i completed my education i started this firm again, and so yeah sometimes for crime scene visiting, i need to go out of town for some days but as much as i love my profession i also hate it as well cause of these crime scene visiting, i kinda don't like it.

After some time I packed my bag and got ready as well. I wore a black sweatpants and an ivory coloured t-shirt. Let's go. I need to leave fast. I need to catch some filthy criminals and search for evidence against them.

"Chalo mahi me chalti hu 3 din me aa jaungi tum apna khayal rakhna aur khana time se khake apni medicine's bhi yaad se le lena."
I said to her while coming in hall

(So mahi I am leaving, I will be back in 3 days, you take care of yourself, eat your food on time and take your medicines as well.)

"Okay ms. lawyer sahiba you also take care of yourself"
Mahi said while giving me a side hug

"Bye mahi"

I bid her goodbye and sat in my car to leave for the crime scene, after 3 hours I will reach there.

If i will take a shortcut i will reach there half an hour early but that road is to silent, it's not like that the road is not safe or something like that, it's safe way to much safe but whenever I'm alone or take a road which is silent and don't have any disturbance, the silence makes me crawl into the memories which I don't want to go back, even though the memories are so sweet but after remembering all those sweet memories it makes my heart ache, that the people in my memories are no longer here with me they can't talk to me, I can't see them and it's breaks me even more.

Anyways let's focus on my work now, in every scenario of case, lawyers aren't allowed to go to the crime scene for investigation without the judge's order, and for investigating this particular crime scene i needed to do so many paper works for getting judge's permission order, but finally i made it and now hopefully no one will get between my work so i can work peacefully.

After 4 hours

Finally, I reached here god the journey was tiresome and it was full of traffic that's why i got 1 hour late, i know god I'm not your favourite child but please sometimes you can help me no.

I needed to reach here 1 hour early to meet the official police officer's who are handling this case and had the copy of evidence but no i had to be late and now as it's 9:47 at almost 10 at night so the officers duty must have changed and i won't get the file now i need to wait till tomorrow's morning.

If i would have gotten the file now, for the next two days i could have collected the information about the work I am here for to collect the information about those people and about there disgusting deeds though i will still have 1 and a half day to search but still the half day will go to waste in getting the file, and as now the major business and meeting of those people are held here for the next two months, but I don't get to come here on daily basis.

What will I give the reason to my employee's that I need to catch some people for some of my personal reasons so that's why your boss is taking leave for the whole two months? They would probably laugh at me.

Now i will just go to my hotel room and will take rest I can't do much thing's at night here as the 2 men I've set to keep a tap on those people they will also come here tomorrow so for now i should take rest, first i need to message mahi that I've reached here.

Hey I've reached here safely, good night.

Mahi<3:
Okay take care, and be safe.

Me:
Yes you too.

Ok so now I just need to sleep. I'm already so tired . Let me just take some rest. I hope I get a peaceful sleep tonight.
