Chapter 23: On the Run

Third person:

During a flashback at the Celestial Realm, Monkey King tries dodging Ne Zha's attacks and spear. Ne Zha threw his spear at WuKong, but he blocked it and threw it back. WuKong notices the map. "Finally, an opening." Monkey King said. He tries to grab the map, but the seal pushes him back. "Ugh, the ol' magical barrier trick. I should've seen that one coming." He grumbled. "That seal is strong enough to protect the map from any who would steal it. Even you, Sun Wukong. Do you have any idea what you're doing?" Ne Zha questioned WuKong, appearing from pink flames, on why he was there. "Uh yeah, I'm the Monkey King. Trust me!" Wukong said, pushing himself off the wall he was thrown into. "Trust you?" Ne Zha chuckles. "No. You ruined any chance of that long ago." He states. "Honestly, Ne Zha, when did you stop being fun?" WuKong questions, before He rushes to get the map, but Ne Zha stops him by using his scarf and threw him back. The two begin to fight, mainly WuKong dogging Ne Zha's attacks.

"I alone should've been entrusted with keeping that map safe." NeZha states, while attacking WuKong. WuKong jumped up onto a beam to dodge Ne Zha. "Somebody's sounding jealous!" WuKong said, before pushing off to attack Ne Zha. "It was our solemn duty. Our oath was to protect this world from the Samadhi Fire!" Ne Zha yelled, dodging WuKong's attack before throwing him away from the map. "Yeah well, something worse came along. Why do you think I need to use it? Come on!" WuKong tried to reason with Ne Zha, before charging for the map once more. Ne Zha panicked and thrusted his spear at WuKong and in turn WuKong blocked his attack. "Out of respect for your past friendship with the great monk, I will allow you to leave this place safely. But the fire will remain unforged. Hidden. The map stays here." Ne Zha said, as he and WuKong struggled.

"I know you take your security job pretty seriously, but I do need the map. So you see the problem right?" WuKong asks as he duplicates himself and the clones come at him and restrain him. "You want me to leave it, I want me to take it! Eh, it's a toughie." WuKong said, with a smile and a shrug. "What? Don't do this!" Ne Zha bagged, unable to stop him. "I'm sorry, it's the only way." WuKong said with remorse in his voice. "Wukong, that barrier is designed to protect that map at all costs. If you force your way through it, it could destroy us both!" Ne Zha tried to reason with WuKong to stop. "Yeah, I know. But you gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelet." WuKong said, getting ready to push through the barrier. "What? That doesn't mean you should!" Ne Zha yelled. Monkey King forces his way through it and successfully grabs the map, destroying the temple and his clones. "Wukong..." Ne Zha said with disappointment.

"Look Ne Zha, keep up the training. Who knows? Maybe one day, you'll be tough enough to beat me!" WuKong gave a little laugh. The sky turns bluish green with a flash of light. A wind strike soon comes blasting WuKong, Ne Zha and some rubble back, WuKong notices that MK and Jade are in trouble. "Kids!" He yelled and took off to go save them. "Wukong, you idiot! You'll doom us all!" Ne Zha yelled as WuKong escaped with his Magic cloud. "Wukong, you fool." Ne Zha said, watching WuKong disappear.

Jade's Pov:

"It was then when the Lady Bone Demon played her final move. Even with the combined might of the Monkie Kid and the Monkey King, their all was simply not enough. The villain was victorious, plunging the world into darkness." I heard Tang Narrate when he was writing in his book. I was next to my brother, as the Dronecopter flies through a storm. "Now, any chance of hope lies in the hands of a monkey" Tang continues to write in his journal as he narrates. "and a kid who wishes he was a monkey." He finished. "Mr. Tang, would you quit it?" Mk said, annoyed with Tang. Pigsy snatched the journal from Tang's hand and Tang gasped in anger at him. "You've been reading your diary out loud literally all day. You're bummin' everybody out!" Pigsy yelled. "Hey! It's not a diary, I'm writing the next chapter. And very well too, I might add." Tang said as he shows Pigsy the journal and flips to a page with a drawing of him a Monkey King in a heart. Pigsy looks at his hand and realizes he's not holding the journal.
