Chapter 32: The Samadhi Fire

Third Person:

In the past, Ne Zha, Demon Bull King, and Monkey King attempt to seal the Samadhi Fire from a young Red Son. "For the Samadhi Fire to be split in three, you must harmonize your energies!" Tang Sanzang shouts. Ne Zha, Demon Bull King and Sun WuKong struggle to contain the fire within their circle. Tang Sanzang's eyes glow gold and taps the ground, showing the site in a golden light. He uses his powers to create the Rings of Samadhi. "Heh! You know, this is kinda easier than I thought it would be. Woah!" WuKong began to speak when a burst of fire interrupted him. "Monkey! / Wukong! / Imbecile!" Tang Sanzang, Ne Zha and Demon Bull King all shouted Simultaneously. Wukong struggles to keep steady, and he slips. The fire splits into the three rings but a piece gets away and heads for Tang Sanzang. The White Horse Dragon blocks the attack, and the fire is sealed within him. A flash of light surrounded the site. A young Red Son was soon in his father's hand, cooing. Demon Bull King, Ze Zha and WuKong all had a ring in their hands.

"My friend! Are you..." Tang Sanzang asked, concerned for his friend. "I am alright." Ao Lie says. Both Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing tackled Tang Sanzang. "Master, you did it!" Zhu Bajie says. "We knew you could." Sha Wujing excitedly shouted. "Okay, okay, that— That's more than enough!" Tang Sanzang says happiness in his voice. WuKong, with a smile on his face, sighs before Ne Zha hits him on the head with his ring. "Ow! Hey!" WuKong yelled in pain. "Great job, Wukong. Way to almost get us all killed!" Ne Zha scolded. "Ugh, sheesh! Chill out, Ne Zha. It all worked out in the end! Fire split, no harm done, huh? Huh?" WuKong said with confidence. Ao Lie looks up from the little celebration in front of him at the sound of WuKong words with a grim look on his face.

Jade's Pov:

I struggled in Macaque's grip while my brother laid on the ground week, Mei, Pigsy, and Sandy were stuck in ice. He is still giving me a concerned look before snapping out of his funk. "Do it. Finish the ritual!" Macaque yelled at Tang. I continued to struggle when I heard Tang say, "Alright, you win." Tang began to finish the ritual and a light began to shine underneath Macaque and I.

Third person:

WuKong had used his golden sight to see what was happening as he and Ne Zha were still stuck against their mountain. "No! They were supposed to wait!" WuKong shouted. "Are you absolutely sure the Samadhi Fire is the only way to stop the Lady Bone Demon?" Ne Zha questioned WuKong. "Only if we move right now!" WuKong expressed. "You better be right." Ne Zha says, and his spear transforms into lotus petals. "Let's hope my aim is as good as it used to be." he said. "What?" WuKong asked. The lotus petals turn into sharp points, shattering the bone imprisoning them. Monkey King races towards the ritual site.

Jade's Pov:

I looked over at the rings, which were now covered in maroon flames. I start to remember the visions I started having. "No! Please, Stop, Stop!" I shouted in fear at what was happening as a flash of light appeared from my chest. "Yes!" Macaque said excitement in his eyes. "Stop!" I hear WuKong shout. I looked to see him charging on his cloud. "No!" WuKong shouted as the ritual completed and the outline of a fourth ring appeared on my chest. Maroon flash engulfed me as I yelled from the pain. "It worked!" Macaque says after the blast freed him from LBD's spell. "I'm too late. Kid!" WuKong shouts. I'm busy looking at myself as I am covered in the maroon flames.

"What? Jade?! What's happening?! Don't worry, I'm coming for ya! Someone get some water. Stop, drop, and roll, sis!" I hear Mk shout, running before being tackled. "Mere water cannot extinguish the Samadhi Fire. Nothing can. The fire will destroy this girl and burn everything in its path." Ne Zha states while freeing Mei, Pigsy and Sandy. "What?!" I shout in shock at Ne Zha's words. "Yeah, what?!" Mk agreed. "You! You ruined everything!" WuKong shouted, charging at Macaque, who tried to disappear into a shadow portal, but WuKong grabbed him and pulled him out. "I didn't do this!" Macaque exclaimed. "Well, you weren't not involved!" WuKong yells and pulls back his fist to punch him.
