Chapter 12: Revenge of the Spider Queen

Third Person:

MK and Monkey King are fighting in the Monkey King's shame temple. "You call this a training session? I've barely broken a sweat." Mk said. "A battle's no place to be arrogant, you gotta stay humble" Monkey King said. "Says you?" Mk said as he fights and puts Monkey King near the edge. "Hah, who's gotta be humble now?" Mk said bringing down the staff ready to finish the fight. "Hmm. Still you." Monkey King said as he jumped us and kicked the staff off of MK. The Golden Staff launches to the mountain, forming rocks. "Oh boy." Mk said as the rocks buried him. "Ok, class commencing, how'd I win?" Monkey King said, while going over to Mk and pulling him out from under the rocks. "Uh, you buried me under a rockslide?" Mk questioned.

"Yes, but why were you standing in the way of a rockslide?" Monkey King said. "'Cause you put me there!" Mk responded annoyed. "No, no, no, no, no, no. I got you where I wanted you by putting myself where you wanted me, it's called misdirection." Monkey King said, trying to be mysterious. "Seems like a shady lesson." Mk responded. "Too soon, buddy." Monkey King said, folding his arms. "Ugh, I'm never gonna be as good as you." Mk said, falling onto his back. "Not with that attitude. Class dismissed!" Monkey king said.

"Yes! I better hit it, I was supposed to meet Mei and the others for the fes—" Mk said jumping up, but Monkey King throws a pillow at MK while he sets up for the New Year's. "Hey! Whoa. How long have you been preparing this?" Mk asked. "Come on, it's New Year's, bud. Let's watch the fireworks." Monkey King said gently. "Oh, love to but I really should get back to my... friends." Mk said as Monkey King looked back towards the sky. MK sighs and then sits down with him saying, "Sure."

Jade's Pov:

I was in the food truck folding dumpling for Pigsy, Mei was helping but was having trouble. "I feel like this would be easier if I had fingers." she said. I just looked at her confused. "Thank you! Great happiness and prosperity this Lunar New Year!" Pigsy said, handing a bowl to someone. "Mei, Jade, is it just me or does Pigsy seem more.. stressed than normal? Isn't MK meant to be working today?" Tang said. "YES TANG HE IS!!! WHERE IS THAT PUNK CAUSE HE SURE AIN'T HERE!!!" Pigsy screamed at Tang. "He's training with the Monkey King. He said, "New year! New MK! I'm gonna take my training to a whole new level!" Mei said, demonstrating with a broom. "Wow." was all Tang said.

"Give me that!" Pigsy yelled, snatching the broom from Mei and breaking it in two. ""New year, new MK." Keep going like this, he's gonna be newly unemployed! I mean it! If MK don't get here soon—" He screams. Sandy had appeared with goodies and dumped them all of them on Pigsy. "Good cheer and happy new year! Look at all these delicious little goodies! I got enough to share!" Sandy said, with a smile. "Ooh! Thanks, Sandy!" Mei said. "So uh, where's MK?" Sandy asked, looking around for my twin. Pigsy pops out of Sandy's pile and yells, "Would you guys please screw around somewhere else?! I got a business to run so if you ain't gonna help, go bother some other noodle shop owner!" Everyone left, excluding me, as I was helping Pigsy. "You to Jade." Pigsy says, sighing. "Are you sure?" I ask him. "Ya, just don't lift anything too heavy, don't want to rip out your stitches again." Pigsy said. I smile and leave to find the others. If you are wondering why Pigsy said that is because of the cut on my arm from the DBK invasion. I was lifting something for Pigsy and it was too heavy, so the first set of stitches popped, it hurt really bad. So now I'm under doctor's orders not to lift anything heavy.

Third Person:

An orange from earlier had rolled off through the sewer slits into the lair of the Spider Queen's lab. "Ugh, keep laughing. Just wait 'till you see what I've got cooking, then you'll have something to celebrate. Only one hair left." Spider Queen flashbacked back to when she took pieces of MK's hair. "This little piece of that Monkie Kid holds all the power I need. You finished tinkering yet?" Spider Queen asked a scientist named Syntax. "I have constructed what you asked for. The delivery systems are operational, so long as the venom works this time." Syntax said. "The venom will work." Spider Queen said.
