the locust like geonosians flutter around a Colosseum.

in a chamber beside the arena floor Y/n and Padmé stand in a hovering chariot.

Y/n:"don't be afraid"

Padmé:"I'm not afraid to die'

they gaze into each other's eyes

Padmé:"I've been dying a little bit each day since you came back into my life"

Y/n:"what are you talking about?"

Padmé:"I love you, Y/n"

Y/n's brow rises and his lips part

Y/n:"you love me?"

he casts his gaze downward

Y/n:"I thought that we had decided not to fall in love.. that we would be forced to live a lie.. and that it would destroy our lives"

Padmé:"I think our lives are about to be destroyed anyway"

Padmé inches closer to the young Padawan.

Padmé:"I truly, deeply love you"

Padmé:"And before we die I want you to know"

as their lips meet in a tender kiss a geonosian gets onto the front of the chariot and urges on a snouted beast attached to it.

the chariot carries them into the arena

as the lover's lips part the sunlight from an archway silhouettes them.

the snouted beast leads the hovering chariot past Obi Wan.

the Jedi watches, his hands chained above his head to a 30 foot pillar.

Y/n gives him a sheepish glance.

in the stands the crowd flutters wildly.

as one guard leads Padmé out of the chariot she takes a small object from underneath her utility belt and slips it into her mouth undetected.

she backs against a pillar as her geonosian captor chains her hands above her head

two other captors lead Y/n to a pillar between Padmé and Obi Wan.
