"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Hiccup roared at the dragon, who was now in his body.
"You were going to kill me." The dragon-now-human said, "This is what Nigh Furies do when they feel threatened. Next time, think about what dragon you're going to kill."
"Vikings know absolutely nothing about Night Furies!!" Hiccup growled lowly.
"All the more reason to NOT go after them." The Fury said calmly.
"Turn me back." Hiccup said threateningly.
The Night Fury shrugged, "I can't."
"Why not?" Hiccup threatened.
"A Fury can only do it once." He explained, "You're stuck as a dragon for the rest of that body's life. Which is significantly longer than this human body."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M STUCK AS A DRAGON?!?!?!"
"I mean exactly that. Your life is now my life and vice versa."
"Good luck being ridiculed by your entire village."
"What do you mean?"
"I'm hated all over the village for two reasons. One, my body is small, weak, and fragile. And two, my inventions always end up destroying the village in some way."
"Inventions? You mean the things that cause distractions for the dragons to take the food, that was your doing?"
"Yes, that body can't even use a sword to fight. So, I use my head. I think of other ways I can contribute to help. It always ends with the chief, my father, scolding me in front of the entire village, giving my bullies more reasons to bully me."
"I had no idea..."
"Beond that, what hurts me even more is that my cousin is one of my bullies."
"Your own kin?"
Hiccup nodded sadly.
"HICCUP!!!" A voice called out.
"Astrid." Hiccup growled ferociously. He then saw the confused look on his former face, gods, he's gonna have to get used to that. "My former crush. She's cold, cruel, and cares for no one but herself."
The Fury then nodded and went to react when Hiccup stopped him. "You'll need to use my personality. I'm sarcastic, stubborn, and listen to almost no one. If you run into my father, that is who you really talk back too."
The Furn-now-human nodded again and whispered to Hiccup to fly to the Raven's Point cove and hide there. Hiccup nodded once and tried to take off. Once he was in the air, he took off to the cove. But something was wrong, he couldn't get his balance, so instead of landing gracefully, he ended up crashlanding.
'Hiccup'
The Night Fury was walking over to Astrid in his new body. He was still trying to figure out how he should approach this Viking teen without giving away that he wasn't 'Hiccup is what he responded to.' He thought.
He was approaching where the voice came from, when, all of a sudden, he was tackled to the ground.
His breath was knocked right out of his lungs, and he could feel metal on his back, and when he looked up, he saw the blacksmith of the village.
'Gobber, if these memories are sufficient, is his name.'
"Gobber. Can't. Breath." 'Hiccup' wheezed out.
"Hehe, sorry laddy. I was just worried." Gobber responded awkwardly, "Ye didn't come back to the village yesterday. Stoick wen' on another search this mornin'."
"Thanks for letting me know, Gobber." 'Hiccup' responded, "Is there something else I should know?"
"Yes, I managed to convince tha' father of yer's to let you take part in Dragon Training." Gobber answered excitedly.
"Thanks Gobber," 'Hiccup responded with fake excitement. "Do you know why Astrid was looking for me?"
"She wanted to talk to ye about something." Gobber said.
"Thanks, I'll go look in the village for her." The once-Fury answered.
"Got it."
And with that, the Fury took off running in the direction of the village. He needed to find this Astrid character before he rises suspicion. Once he was in the Village, he took off to the center. That would be the first place he'd go if he was looking for him.
As soon as the smith was in sight, he took off with renewed vigor and went to office space. Once he was in there, he saw a note on his desk.
The note read, "Hiccup, if you see this note, then meet me at your hut, I need to talk to you. Signed Astrid."
As soon as he read the note, the once-Fury took off in the direction of the chief's hut.
As soon as he got there, he was greeted by an extremely angry-looking Astrid. If the once-dragon was being honest, she was beautiful. She had long golden hair, sky blue eyes. Plus, it looked like she would put up a fight to get what she wants.
"Hiccup! Where were you?!" The fuming Astrid asked, "I've been looking for you ALL NIGHT!"
"I needed time to myself." 'Hiccup' responded, "Can I not do that?"
"I don't need your sarcasm, Hiccup. I need to know what I did to get you to avoid me." Astrid asked, suddenly calm and solemn.
"You want to know what you did?!" The Fury asked in fake anger, "Let's start from the beginning, shall we?! For one, you hang out with the people who beat me to a pulp every day. You just watch when I'm being scolded in front of the ENTIRE VILLAGE!! You do nothing about my bullies! You just watch while I'm being beaten half to death! I've lost almost ALL HOPE!! THAT'S WHAT YOU DID!!!"
"I-I... I couldn't do anything." Astrid responded in a solemn voice that made the once-dragon's heart melt from guilt. "If I-I d-did, I-I w-would get the s-same treatment as y-you."
'Can I trust her?' The dragon-now-human thought. Once he decided that he could, he said something that shocked both of them.
"Come inside, I need to tell you something in private. Besides, this should have taken place somewhere less public." He spoke.
She hesitantly nodded and followed the once-dragon inside the large hut.
"Can I trust you to keep a huge secret?" The now-human asked. Astrid nodded her head, still not trusting words. "Okay, you can't tell anyone this."
The Fury took a deep breath and said the three words he shouldn't have said to anyone...
"I'm not Hiccup."
