Wonder land

The weight of Responsibility!😔

Blood stains all over the house, Diana starts to shake as they all went inside her apartment, fear in their hearts as the house looked like a lion's crash site, no bodies, no signs of her parents or  brother but blood everywhere, Rochelle immediately holds Ryan's shirt and they kept walking in the apartment. Diana immediately runs upstairs with the thought of her family being dead, she wasn't scared anymore,she leaves Ryan and Rochelle even though it's not safe.

       Ryan grabs Rochelle in the hand as he ran with her to catch up with Diana, on catching up with her in her mom's room, she was on the ground kneeling down with a person's body, unidentifiable to Rochelle and Ryan because they had never met her Dad or brother, and they couldn't see the dead person's face either but Diana bursts into tears, hands shaking as she attempts to turn the body, she turns the body and she couldn't look.

       It turns out to be her Dad, but he didn't have his eyes, his nose, his whole face were no longer there, she only recognized him because he's a lot bigger than her brother, "No Dad , please no, what's going on? I don't understand, is this a dream, please wake me up Ryan, Rochelle !!! What happened to my Dad?" She says as she screams and cries while holding her chest trying to catch her breath as the situation is breathtaking.

       Rochelle immediately bursts into tears due to fear, disgust and shock, she hugs Diana and tries to calm her down for a few minutes. Ryan trying to be a man in this situation walks around the room and tries to wrap his head around the situation, at this point he has two teenagers who haven't been able to reach their family, there are weird creatures everywhere, the internet is down, calls aren't going through, it occurred to him that they were on their own for now.

       Snapping him out of his thoughts, he hears a rustling noise from outside the house and he immediately looks outside the window but he sees nothing, contradicting his eyes, the hair on his arms stands up like a dog's hackle when excited or scared, he immediately walks towards Diana and Rochelle "As much as I would like to give you time to wrap your heads around things I think we need to leave now" he says as he grabs both of  their hands and walks fast into the Lexus. 

        After driving for a while it starts to get dark and they had not seen anyone, "I think we need to find a place to sleep for tonight, we've gone to the police station, the hospital, schools and supermarkets but we haven't seen anyone but blood, bodies and abandoned cars" Ryan says as he turns to the girls who haven't said a word since their encounter with the faceless dead man.Getting no response from both of them, Ryan decides he needs to make the decision on his own for now and give them time.  

       He starts to look around while driving to figure out the safest place to spend the night, then he decided on a Walmart that seemed untouched, doors locked, lights out, and no bloody bodies in the area, he stops the car and alights telling the girls to stay put in the car while he checks if the coast is clear, he walks around the Walmart to see how things were, it seemed all good, he listens close and looked far,and after deciding it was safe around he decides to go back to bring the girls with him as they attempt to enter the Walmart.

      "Alright, let's go girls" he says on opening the door to the Lexus, they both come down from the vehicle and approaches the Walmart with him, "why a supermarket of all places, no hotels or motels we could stay in? I don't feel safe here" Diana finally speaks after a long time of staying silent, "I checked around and it feels safe here than other hotels and motels I had driven past, also this place belongs to my uncle and I came here with him a few times so I know a back entrance and some other things I need to know" Ryan assures the girls with his statement" they followed him without hesitation after that.

     Going through the back, they stumble upon a door and Ryan puts in the passcode for the door and it automatically unlocks, walking in to the store, Ryan signals to the girl to be as quiet as they can be as they have no idea what could have happened around here and what could be hiding inside the store, Ryan stretches his hands and uses a switch which immediately controls the light all over the store, allowing them to see the whole store, they walked round and decided it was safe and then they find a good spot and some blanket to use.

"There are things we could eat, you guys should please try to eat something, I need sometime alone, ring this bell if anything happens or call my name I'm gonna be setting there" Ryan says as he points out a spot close to the entrance of the store and he leaves immediately, Sitting down finally and getting some rest, He sat as he thought to himself "what is happening, who are these creatures, why are they suddenly here, are they here for me, how do I keep Diana and Rochelle safe all by myself",he then brings out the bottle of jack Daniels he had taken earlier from the alcohol shelf.

He drinks slowly as he continues to think of what to do tomorrow and tries to be strong, he needs to continue to hide that he's also scared and also hide that he's somewhat supernatural "Nothing good would come out of them finding out about me" he says as he raises the bottle and takes another sip, after sitting down for almost an hour, he decided to lie on the chair and take a quick nap before going back to meet the girls. Immediately he lies down, he hears screams coming from inside and he stands and runs towards the girls.
