Thalia sat quietly on the shoreline of the beach, in her mentor's white tee shirt over her bikini.
She watched her 4 year old sister, Tess, wade in the water and splash about. she smiled, watching her little sister have so much fun. Well, technically her half sister, (different dads).

  Suddenly, she heard a rustling behind her. She had lost most of her hearing in her right ear due to the explosion in her games. The Capitol couldn't repair it, for the damage was too extensive. She can still hear fine, it just sounds muffled in one ear.

She jumped and turned around only to see her mentor and lover, Finnick Odair smiling down at her.

While they were enslaved, they became a couple to escape the slavery . They have been together ever since.

"How's my girl?" He asked, plopping down next to her, kissing her.

"Just wonderful." She said. As he stroked her long blonde waves. She rested her head on his shoulder and they watched Tess collect seashells.

"You do know we have to mentor next week, right?" Asked Finnick.
Thalia groaned. " what do these games accomplish? It's inhuman".

" We don't have a choice, Thails." He said.
"We won't be separated at all through the whole thing. I'll make sure of it." He kissed her in the place he always did, on her forehead.

Thalia sighed. " Every time I think I'm okay and moved past the games it always comes back to haunt me. It's a never ending circle, Fin."

He put his arm around her and pulled her closer. "At least we're together." He said. "We're luckier than most."

Tess ran toward them all wet and jumped on Finnick. "Arg!!" Finnick yelled.

" Finny!" Exclaimed Tess. Tess had a lisp, and couldn't say Finnick. So she just shortened the name to Finny.

Finnick jumped up and picked the small child up and spun her around, a common greeting between them. He placed her on his shoulders and they all walked into Thalia's victor house.

Thalias mother was baking as Thalia walked in.
" hello children!" She said.
Finnick crouched through the doorway because with his 6'4 tall muscular figure and Tess on his shoulders, he wouldn't be able to fit.

Now, this is Thalia's victor house, but she lives with Finnick. Thalia has reoccurring nightmares about her time in the capitol and the games.

Thalia doesnt want to scare Tess with her episodes, so she lives with Finnick. He always knew how to get her to calm down.

He just gets her. Finnick understands more than anyone, for he's been through the same horrors.

" would you like some rolls?" Thalia's mother asked. She made the best rolls in town. People would often line up to get them.

" my favorite!" Finnick exclaimed and took two. He also took some sugar cubes out of Thalias mother's bowl. She always had a bowl for "emergencies", but really they were just for Finnick.

Thalia put Tess down for a nap and her and Finnick were left with nothing to do.

" What should we do?" Whispered Thalia.
