First Dance

In Winter Love Begins

The three young men bow, and you do the same. Then you say, "Hello, welcome to Nunalley's. I'm Hana. How may I help you?"

Namjoon speaks up, "These are my friends. This is Yoongi." He points to the one looking at you with squinting eyes.

"This is Jimin." He points to a cute blond and then to the dark-haired young man with an adorable bunny smile, "And this is Jungkook."

"You didn't tell us this old musty book store had the newest Manga!" Jungkook says excitedly and starts looking through the ones you had recently put up. You catch Namjoon rolling his eyes. Your lips tighten as you try not to laugh.

"Wow, you have the newest one!" Exclaims Jimin, smiling so hard that his eyes disappear, and you find it very endearing. 

Excited, he joins Jungkook, and they become oblivious to everything else.

You turn from them and ask Yoongi, "Are there any books I could help you find?"

He doubts you even carry it, but he left his copy in Seoul and desperately wants to finish it, so he decides to ask anyway, "Do you have "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho?"

You tell him, "That is one of my favorites. If you follow me, I'll show you where we keep it." He follows, grinning back at the others.

After leaving Yoongi to peruse the books in the section you led him to, you go back to where Namjoon is and find him placing the new Manga books on the shelf.

"Oh, Namjoon, you didn't have to do that."

"I don't mind. I was waiting for you to come back anyway to ask if my book has come in yet." He could have asked your dad, but he just wanted to be with you.

As the weeks came and went, Namjoon would usually show up alone, but sometimes the trio would join him. You caught your dad several times smiling and nodding when he saw you two close. At one point, you mouthed to him, 'Dad, stop, you're embarrassing me.'

He'd laugh and start opening the mail. Namjoon had seen your interaction with your dad and thought to himself, 'She's so beautiful when she blushes.'

Several weeks later, the trio had come with him and upon leaving the bookstore, Yoongi stops Namjoon asking, "Are you going to ask her out?"

Namjoon blushes embarrassed and asks, "What? Um, she wouldn't want to go out with me." His self-doubt had made him hesitate to ask, even though it was his heart's desire.

A little irritated at his hyung, Jimin sighs. "Ask her. I know love when I see it."

This causes Namjoon's blush to deepen. Jungkook steps in front of him, saying, "Go back in there and ask her out, or else." He then displays his evil bunny smile, and they all laugh.

Namjoon relents. Maybe they are right. He goes back into the bookstore. He knows the attraction between you two is real.

The others stay outside, peering in through the window. They watch Namjoon tap you on the shoulder. You turn to him, smiling.

Jimin says, "This is just like a romance story." His breath fogs up the window in front of his face and he uses his sleeve to wipe it off, just in time to see you nod to something Namjoon said and then you write something down.

"About time," says Yoongi, pulling the two away from the window.

By dating Namjoon, you meet the rest of his band of brothers. The ones you feel closest to, not counting Namjoon, are Jimin, Yoongi, and Kookie. When you started dating Namjoon, either Jimin or Yoongi drove you to see him or him over to see you. You can drive, but you still need to get your own car. You've just been using your parents' car, and during those trips, you, Jimin, and Yoongi got to know each other better through the spring and summer.

One summer day, a little Pomeranian comes running straight to you and jumps up on his hind legs with his front paws on your knees. His cute little face looks like he is smiling at you.

"Tannie, what are you doing here? Did you drive?" You pick him up giggling and glance around for the others. He is giving your face excited doggie kisses. "I've missed you too."

You didn't hear the bell over the door ring, so you didn't know how he had come in. You cast around for the usual trio and then feel warm hands come from behind and cover your eyes.

"Namjoon?"

"Hi, love." He replies.

He removes his hands and goes to kiss your cheek but Tannie is still giving doggie kisses. He laughs.

"She's my girl. Go get your own."

You see Jimin and Jungkook and look around for Tae. "Did Tae come with you this time?"

Jungkook answers, "I'm dog-sitting Tannie."

Jimin rolls his eyes, "WE are dog-sitting for Taehyung."

Namjoon takes the opportunity to kiss your cheek while Tannie is distracted by hearing his dad's name mentioned.

"We are dog-sitting Tannie for the week. Tae had to fly to Paris on business." Namjoon tells you for clarification.

You snuggle your face into his soft fur, saying," He is the cutest little thing." You lift your face and smile at Namjoon before saying, "Next to you, of course." His dimples show and make you blush.

Jimin playfully whines, " But I'm the cute one."

Your mom comes from the break room, and Tannie wiggles to be let down. He knows a treat is incoming. You let him down, and before you can even remove your hands, his little legs are already in motion. As soon as his paws touch the floor, he is bounding over to her.

You laugh at Jimin. "Yes, you're, cutie, sexy lovely. I know, I know."

He blushes. "Well, you know, what can I say?" He shrugs his shoulders.

You playfully shove him away laughing and ask him, "Are you here for any particular reason today, perhaps a new book?" You playfully tease Jimin, "Maybe a book on how to win friends and influence people?"

He laughs so hard that he has to hold onto Jungkook to keep from falling to the floor. He is the living meme of 'Roll On the Floor Laughing.'

"We don't need that book. Besides, we're here for you," says Jungkook with his cute, evil bunny smile.

"What?" 

Pleasantly confused you ask, "You are here for me? Is this a store clerk 'napping?" 

In challenge, you stand with both hands on your hips playfully glaring at them.

The shop door opens and the little piece of tissue they had stuck in the bell falls out and it rings. Yoongi brushes the piece of tissue out of his hair and grins when he sees you.

"So, are you coming or what? The motors running," he says with his hands on his hips as if annoyed by having to wait, which he is.

"You're in on this 'napping too? Just give me a minute."

You run to your mom and kiss her on the cheek. Jimin calls for Tannie, but he still needs to come. He has his two favorite ladies now, and he doesn't want to go. You scoop him up in your arms.

"I'll see you later Mom. Tell Dad I will straighten up the store room tomorrow. He needs to rest." Your mom smiles and nods as you rush out the door with Namjoon and the others.
