I stood outside of the room everyone was in. Everyone was leaving me alone and that's fine. I wanted to be left alone.
I leaned against the wall and ran my hand through my hair, shaking it up a bit then straightening it back it out.
"Hey." Lin said leaning against the door frame.
"What." I say.
"Since your good at coming up with plans, we need your help." She said. I huff and walk in the room.
"I say we approach from the west. Drop down from the airship on cables. Ambush these Red Lotus lowlifes before they knew what hit him." Su said.
"It won't work." I cross my arms and look at the map.
"That combustion lady will pick us off one by one." Lin said. "You have a better idea how to save the airbenders?" Su asked.
"No, but she does." Lin says pointing at me.
"Well, let's hear it." Su said.
"I say we come up from the valley, scale the side of the mountain, and take them off guard." I say pointing with my explaining.
"That could work." Tonraq said.
"And give them the high ground? No." The younger Beifong said. "If their lavabender spots us, he'll melt the mountainside and us with it."
"Wait! I got it." Bolin interrupted. "I'll disguise myself as a lost hiker. And once I'm in the temple, I'll distract The Red Lotus with my bird calls." He said.
He started making bird noises and it got on my nerves more than anything. I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose.
"That's when you all strike." He said.
"Bird calls? Really?" Mako asked.
"Well, I haven't noticed you offering any suggestions."
"It doesn't matter. None of these ideas will work. The second Zaheer realizes we're up to something, he'll wipe out the airbenders." Korra said.
"And Opal is one of those airbenders. Believe me, I understand what's at stake." Su says.
"Then I think you'll agree." Korra said turning around.
"The only plan that will work is for me to give myself up." The Avatar said.
"What?" Lin asked.
"Korra, no." Bolin said.
"We'll figure out another way." Her father said.
"I talked it over with Lord Zuko, and I've given it a lot of thought. I have to do this." She said.
"You can't expect us to sit by and just let Zaheer take you." Asami argued.
"The world has been out of balance for far too long. It needs the Air Nation back again. I can't let Zaheer destroy it and everyone we love. Help me save the airbenders. Then you can worry about saving me." Korra says.
"We're with you, Korra." Tonraq said.
"Yes, whatever you need. We're here." Su says.
"I'll go radio Zaheer." She said and walked out the room.
I walked to the window and looked down, seeing nothing but clouds and mountains. I wonder what would happen if I just jumped out.
"What's been up with you lately?" Lin asked appearing next to me.
"I honestly don't know." I said.
"How do you not know?"
"Because I just don't." I said with a little more additude. "If you dont want me getting bitchy with you, walk away." I say. She did exactly that.
