Y/n Pov

As I checked myself out in the mirror, I noticed I was rocking a stunning black mermaid dress with a one-shoulder design, long sleeves, and a high slit. I completed the look with some basic high heels and dazzling diamond earrings.

I owe a huge thanks to Andrey for sending the dress to Jade, who then kindly passed it on to me. I was so thankful for saving me the hassle of searching for the perfect outfit.

Before I knew it, the day had arrived for me to finally meet Andrey and collect my belongings from him.

Hana couldn't help but compliment my mesmerising smoky eyes, a makeup look she had skillfully created.

I couldn't help but agree with her sentiment.

I turned to face her as she sat comfortably on the bed in a white shirt and black jeans, looking effortlessly stylish.

Suddenly, I blurted out,

Y/n: How are you and my brother getting along?

Her reaction was curious, as she nervously brushed her forehead, looking as if my question caught her off guard.

I let out a little laugh.

Y/n: I can tell you've developed a crush on him. It's pretty obvious, don't you think?
She bit her lower lip nervously.

Hana: Really? Am I that obvious?

I nodded, folding my hands as her cheeks turned a shade of red. She was clearly flustered by my observation.
Hana: Does he know?

She inquired, and I pondered my response. It wasn't my place to spill the beans - she should hear it from Ji-hoon himself. I shrugged, pretending to be clueless.

Y/n: Nah, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, right?

I joked, and she nodded in agreement. My brother was actually pretty smart, but I didn't want to burst her bubble.

Hana: So, what do you think? Is he into me as more than just a friend or his secretary?

She asked me, and I inwardly groaned. I always hated these types of conversations. I was clueless when it came to matters of the heart.
When it was just Jungkook and me, he was the one who approached me first, but little did he know, I was the one pulling the strings all along. I made him believe he had power over my emotions, all the while I was using him as a distraction to help supply some illegal weapons to my contacts overseas.

He remains oblivious to my true intentions, and I prefer it that way.

Hana eventually snapped me out of my thoughts, and I couldn't help but grin mischievously at her.

Y/n: Why not just propose to him? If he says yes, you'll be my sister-in-law. If he declines, you can be a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding.

Hana: You're impossible!

She playfully tossed a pillow at me, only for my brother to intercept it before it could reach me.

Ji-hoon: Hana, be careful. Y/n is still on her medication, I don't want anything harming her.
He spoke softly, only because it was Hana, otherwise his voice would sound as husky and lifeless as a dead person - quite eerie.

It really shows how much of a softie he is when it comes to Hana. Lucky her! Meanwhile, I'm here waiting for my man. They say women take forever to get ready, but it seems the opposite is true in this case.

He turned around and glanced in my direction, but really he was just checking out my outfit. His brows furrowed and he shook his head in a sarcastic manner.
