a loud cheer fills the well known room "wow" jacob laughs.
"welcome back to the show!" jimmy announces "that's gotta feel good, they love ya', bud".
jacob laughs lightly "thank you" his words erupt more cheers so he repeats "thank you".
"so welcome back... how was your trip here, you know rumor has it you drove down here?" jimmy asks, jacob nods in response.
"yeah, yeah, i did, it was a lot of fun, got to see some sights and do some touristy things".
"and from what i've heard you drove down with a certain british singer?" jimmy pries, trying to get a bit of information out of the tall aussie, the audience erupts in cheers.
jacob laughs, hiding his awkwardness to the question "yeah i did" he answers simply.
"well you know, phoebe is great" jimmy smiles, having had the singer on his show multiple times before "she'd definitely be a great companion on a roadtrip" he praises.
jacob nods "yeah she was a lot of fun, we mostly just did carpool karaoke the whole time".
jimmy laughs "so what's your go to carpool karaoke song?"
jacob internally sighs in relief, glad the topic is changing "you know i'm a bowie type of guy, but i got really into cigarettes after sex on this trip" he says, making the audience cheer more.
"ah well we know where that started from" jimmy grins, phoebe's love for the band being fairly well known, given she mentions it in 90% of conversations.
jacob laughs lightly, uncomfortable by the topic, he's never been great at talking about his relationships, he's always kept that stuff private.
jimmy quickly sensing his awkwardness changed the subject, "so saltburn is out in a week".
