I wake up to a cold bed and look to see that Scarlett isn't in bed. I check the time and see it's eleven. I go and check all the kids' rooms to see if maybe she's with one of them since she's been fairly clingy but she isn't in any of them. I walk down stairs and see Scarlett on the couch with my guitar? She's strumming some cords and humming. I just stand at the bottom of the stairs not wanting to interrupt. It's not very often she pulls out a guitar. I see she has a notepad next to her and she writes something down before quietly singing.

"Scarlett." I say softly as I make my way to the couch. "How long have you been there?" She asks, wiping away a few stray tears. "Long enough to hear the song. It's beautiful. I didn't realize just how upset you were." I say as I wrap my arms around her. "I just didn't realize just how fast time was going by. I mean yeah I know that they are growing up. I just wish it wasn't so fast." She says. "You know my ma once told me that no matter how old I get and if I am married with kids that I will always be her little girl. Same goes for our kids. No matter how old they get they will always be our babies." I say to comfort her. "Your mom can be very wise. Thank you, I needed to hear that." She says. "Do you want to post a meme?" I ask. "Why not." She says. "I found this one and I just felt like it was acutate." I tell her. "Ha that is so fucking true and you can quote me on that." She says. "I will." I say.

"You know it's been a while since Gwyn and I hung out." Scarlett says. "Then you should text her and invite her for dinner or something." I say. "That sounds like a great idea." Scarlett says andsends Gwyn a quick text and gets a fairly quick reply. "She'll be here friday." She smiles at me. "Sounds good now why don't we go to bed huh? I'm tired and it's getting kinda late and I need my cuddle buddy." I say. "Normally I say that." She chuckles. "That's why I said it." I say placing a kiss on the top of her head. Scarlett puts my guitar on it's stand next to the piano and we head up to our room. "Good night Penguin." I say. "Good night my Beautiful Cinnamon Roll." She says.
