WHAT THEY SEE

DAKARI KAISER O'BRIEN
OCTOBER 3rd, 2023.
TUESDAY 9:41 am

DAKARI STRETCHED HIS entire body out, shaking a little in the process as his eyes adjusted to the light shining through the windows.

He was quickly able to decipher that he wasn't in his room, but Honestys.

He was high the night before, but he still remembered everything down to the minute he fell asleep. If he was drunk that would've been different, but marijuana had a different affect.

He felt much better and a sense of relief though. His entire body just felt like it was floating during an out of body experience. He felt refreshed.

Honesty wasn't in the bed with him, but he did remember them falling asleep together. He flipped the cover off the lower half of his body and started searching for his shirt.

He had no luck, so he stood up in his basketball shorts, with no shirt on. He blinked his eyes a various about of times, before leaving her room going straight to the bathroom.

He used the bathroom, and washed his hands. After finding a toothbrush, he brushed his teeth hearing voices in the kitchen.

It was a weekday morning, so he knew caden was at school by now, and asia was with his sister or his mother. Once he finished he felt better, so he left the bathroom to go to the kitchen in order to ask honesty about his clothes.

His mind was racking up all type of things though. His exact thoughts from the night were coming back to him. Him and honesty had just started referring to theirselves as bestfriends again.

It was crazy because thinking about it, they were never actually ramntically together—ever. But it felt like it. It felt she was was her girlfriend from the time they met as kids up until she left as teenagers. That wasn't the case though.

He just couldn't help but feel something stronger for her though. It was like he was fifteen all over again, trying to play off his feelings that were obviously too deep rooted for such thing.

If she gave him a chance he would be with her in a heartbeat, but he had no idea where her head was. He just hoped she didn't think it was just about sex for him, because it wasn't. He couldn't lie though, sex with her always intensified his feelings. Every single time.

"Well, it was your fault so I don't wanna hear it. Stupid." He caught the end of Honestys statement. He wondered if it would be awkward between him and sincere because only a dummy wouldn't know what they did in the bathroom. He was sure his four year olds could figure it out.

"You just shut up. Nasty." Sincere frowned at her, and honesty couldn't help but to smile trying not to laugh at her brother.

Honesty could see Dakari entering the kitchen through her peripheral vision, and she smiled refraining herself from dropping her eyes to his topless chest.

"My bad, ian mean to interrupt y'all. I was just wondering if you knew where my clothes was..." he trailed off awkwardly feeling sincere staring at him. Sincere wasn't mad, just more so grossed out .

He knew his sister wasnt the most innocent but it still baffled him. He remembered the day he found out honesty was pregnant, he didn't even believe it because he swore she was an innocent angel in his eyes. That perception of her never left either. If you asked him right now, she was a sweet girl who never ever did anything wrong.
