Why Jenny had agreed to go bowling was a mystery. Maybe it was because she felt bad for her lack of communication and connection with her new found friends or just a desire to piss Derek off. She wasn't even good at bowling. So now as she sat squished between Hailey and Demi, picking anxiously at the pale pink nail polish on her nails. The tacky bowling shoes she wore squeaked on the linoleum in a way that made her wince.

Demi had picked the other two up and chatted endlessly about a million things that Jenny struggled to keep up with but she nodded along anyway. The hustle and bustle of the bowling alley was making her head hurt. Not to mention there was already an incessant thrum already playing in her head trying to turn her into a mobile drum set or maybe even a pair of bongos.

She watched bowling balls slide down the alleys and knock down the pins, the awful sounds making her want to stick her fingers in her ears and leave. It didn't help that she was starving. She was sure the longer she was around these people without eating, the more likely it became that she'd eat them. With a sigh, she gave her cousin a forced smile and stood up from the uncomfortable bench and headed for the restaurant nestled in the corner.

"Hey," She greeted the man behind the counter, "Could I get an order of the Cajun fries, please? Thanks." Sliding a ten dollar bill across, she let her eyes skip across the bowling alley.

Hailey, Scott, Lydia, Jackson, Allison and Demi all sat back at the lanes, happily playing their game. And all Jenny wanted to do was leave. Chewing on the inside of her cheek, she looked to her shoes.

"Jennifer?"

Her head turned, brows furrowing together at the voice that had called out to her and she found a tall man standing behind her. It took a long moment for her to realize where she knew him from, but eventually it all clicked into place. "Dick. Hi." Dick Monroe was a paramedic from Beacon Hills General and she'd met him on one of her visits to the hospital when she'd first came home.

The man smiled, his eyes sparkling as he looked at her. From what Jenny remembered of him, he was extremely friendly, so she didn't find it hard to greet him or acknowledge. Carefully, he took a step closer, "You look good." He says politely, his hands in the pockets of his jacket. "Much better than the last time I saw you."

"Thanks." She swallowed awkwardly, "You look... the same."

"How have you been? I heard you haven't been in to the hospital much recently." Dick said, leaning forward to pay for bowling shoes as he told a man his shoe size.

"Yeah, no, I haven't been." Jenny hummed as another employee handed her the food she'd ordered earlier. Nervously her fingers toyed with paper beneath her greasy fries inside of the plastic dish they were served in. "I've been doing better, I guess."

"That's really good." The man said brightly, "I'm happy to hear that, Jennifer." He told her sincerely as he took his bowling shoes and stepped towards the lanes. "Well... it was nice to see you and I hope you stay doing good."
