"I think I'm getting married." I blurted out. Naru looked at me like I had a second head. "What? Sasuke, you do realize you're only 9 years old right?" She checked my forehead for any signs of a fever.

She sighed as she confirmed I wasn't sick. "Okay, no fever." She said. "Naru I'm not sick, besides I'm turning 10 in five months." I said proudly. "That's not the point." She rolled her eyes. "Naru I'm serious, I heard my parents talking about it." I said.

"Did you hear your name in that conversation?" She asked. "Well, no." I said looking down. "Then it's not you." She said, patting my back. "But they didn't say Nii-san's name either!" I yelled. She gave me a look that made me regret yelling at her. "I'm sorry." I apologized.

"It's okay, but Sasuke why don't you just talk to your parents? It might just be a misunderstanding." She reasoned. "You know how Tou-san feels about me, and Kaa-chan might not even tell me." I countered. "Then just talk to your brother, he might know what's going on." She said.

"Yeah, you're right." I nodded. She smiled softly. "Anyway, Valentine's day is around the corner~ what are your plans for the day?" She asked with enthusiasm. I shrugged at her.

She hit my arm lightly and said, "Sasuke, you can't honestly be serious!" I merely looked away and focused on a really interesting plant at the corner of the classroom. "There's no way you're not planning anything for atleast anyone?" She asked.

She suddenly popped into my mind. "Actually, I am." I said. "Who is it?" She said enthusiastically. I shrugged once again. "Sasuke!" She whined as she shook me repeatedly.

"Naru no." I said, firmly grabbing her arms. She pouted as she folded her arms. 'Cute'. " I am NOT cute!" Wait, did I say that out loud? Oh well. I smirked as I shrugged, again. She huffed as she walked away.

"Naru!" I said while laughing. She walked even faster which made me laugh even harder.

"What are your plans for Valentine's day?" Shisui asked. I shrugged. "Come on now Itachi, I know you." He said. I sighed softly. " I planned something, but I won't tell you." I said. "But Itachi!" He whined as he shook me persistently.

This lasted for about 2 minutes before he gave up. "Fine, don't tell me, but it's for Izumi right?" I nodded. He hummed in approval, seemingly satisfied. "For someone you claim not to like, you sure put effort into her." He suddenly said.

"She's my fiance Shisui, of course I'd put effort into her." I sighed. "Of course." He said with an expression I couldn't quite read. That seemed to last for only a second when he suddenly went back to his cheerful self. "Let's go!" He said, already dragging me off my seat.

"Where?" I asked. "Just come!" He said dragging me to wherever he wanted to take me. I sighed in defeat as he brought me to the football field. "Why are we here?" I asked even though I knew the answer.

"To try out of course!" He said. I pinched the bridge of my nose as I glared at him. "Shisui..." I said. "Oh come on Itachi! It'll be fun, I promise! Besides, you're a natural!" He persuaded.

With a sigh I finally agreed. "Great, I'll get the coaches attention." He said, already on his way to the Coach. 'Sigh, Shisui will be the death of me...'

"You're really not going to talk to him?" The Nara said. I shook my head which caused a sigh out of his lips. "Troublesome blondes..." He whispered. I chose to ignore the statement and focused my attention on sketching.

Choji peeked over my shoulder to see what exactly I was sketching. "Ooh, is that a tree?" He said while taking a bite of his chips. I nodded, feeling somewhat better. "That's so cool Naruto! I wish I could draw." He yelled, smiling as he ate another snack.

"Thank you Choji." I thanked, smiling softly. "Naruto, just talk to him already." Shikamaru lazily said. "No 'Maru, I won't talk to him." I folded my arms as I looked away from him.

"Look at him Naru, he's practically miserable." He pointed and indeed there he was, with his head held down, refusing to make eye contact with anyone. "Okay fine... I'll talk to him." I said, walking half way through the cafeteria to talk to him.

"Naru?" He asked. I sat on the chair next to him and kept silent. "I'm sorry..." He said. "What?" I said, folding my arms. "I said... I'm sorry Naru." He looked away soon after.

I burst out laughing. He scowled at me which only fueled my laughter. As I calmed down I breathed and wiped a tear from my eye. "Oh Sasuke, you should've seen your face!" I said chuckling. He rolled his eyes, sighed then looked at me. The way he looked at me startled me for a second, I've never seen him look so... Apologetic.

"I'm sorry Naru, I won't call you cute, even though you are, again. Please forgive me." He said looking down. I smiled softly and nodded. "I forgive you." I watched him smile softly before putting on his 'mask' of the 'cool boy'.

I stood up and walked to his seat. "Naru..?" I grabbed his hand as slowly dragged him up, then quickly running out of the cafeteria. "Not again..." He sighed. I just laughed as I picked up the pace.

"You're doing great Itachi! Kisame, pass him the ball!" I heard coach yell.
"You got it coach, here you go pretty boy!" The blue haired boy–Kisame said. I quietly took the ball as I approached the goal. "Itachi, to me!" Shisui yelled. I passed it to him, then proceeded to watch him throw the ball through the goal.

Our soon-to-be teammates cheered as they flocked to Shisui, picking him up as they walked, well marched to the Coach. The Coach clapped as he saw us. "Amazing, Shisui, Itachi you're on the team!" He said chuckling. The team cheered as they came to welcome us.

After the congratulations I set off to change back into my clothes, when I saw Izumi by the bleachers. She waved as she walked down. "You did great out there." She said, standing a foot across from me.

"Thank you, what brings you here though?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Can't I support my fiancé?" She retorted, giggling. I smiled softly as I closed the distance. I looked at her as I held her hand. "Of course you can, I'd be surprised if you didn't." She looked at our intertwined hands and blushed lightly.

"Why are you doing this?" She asked.
I smirked slightly. "Doing what?" She raised our intertwined hands as an indicator. "This, Itachi! You said you don't have any feelings for me..." She said. I raised her chin, "But I said I'd try, didn't I ?" I said. She nodded, looking away from me.

"But trying does not equal falling for me, for all I know you could be playing with my feelings –" "Izumi." I interrupted.

"We're still young, we're 13 and we haven't even been engaged for a month. I'm trying my best, I never said I'd fall for you immediately but I said I'd try. Trying means being faithful,"  I held her other hand.  "It means having eyes for you and you alone," I put my forehead on her's. "It means treating you like the princess you are and so much more." Our lips, just inches apart.

"Are you willing to try with me?" I said, wrapping my arm around her waist. "Yes." She breathed. I slowly pulled away from her. " Does that satiate your worries?" I asked smiling.
She nodded, blushing slightly.  "Good, is there any other worry or important thing you want to tell me?" I asked.

"I joined the cheerleading team today." She showed me her form. "That's great, so I assume you'll be cheering me on?" I smirked. "Yeah of course!" She said. "Okay I'm going to change then get on with the day, I'll wait for you after school." I said, looking at her. She nodded then waved. "Bye Ita-kun!" "Bye, Izumi."
I waved as I walked in the direction of the locker room.
