"I'm back!" I exclaimed as I walked into the class. "Naru!" I heard as I looked up. "Sasuke!" I rushed to his seat. "Looks like you missed me huh?" I wriggled my eyebrows. He pouted and looked away from me. "Maybe..." I smiled at the response and hugged him tight. "Hey what are you doing?!" He yelled. "Oh come on, you know you like it." I teased as I tightened my grip. "-Can't...breathe." He wheezed. After one last squeeze I let him go.

He took a short gasp for air.  "Welcome back, idiot." He smiled. This ticked me off as I 'lightly' hit his shoulder. "That hurt." He smiled. "Clearly not enough." I smiled back. We fell into a conversation as we caught up on each other's week when suddenly Sakura came up to us. "Oh you're back, I hope you used this week to think back on your bad behavior. Hi Sasuke-kun~" She smirked as she folded her arms.

Sasuke merely looked at her in annoyance while I on the other hand was fighting the urge to wipe that smirk off her face. "Cat got your tongue? But of course what would I expect from a parent-less bimbo like you." She laughed with her sidekick Ino. 'Don't engage, don't engage don't -'  I repeated in my head, violence was never the answer.

I breathed as I gave her the brightest smile I could. "Welcome back Sakura, I hope we can get along. I apologize for putting my hands on you, even though you deserved it, I'll try not to go that far again." She scoffed before she looked at Sasuke once more. "Sasuke-kun, there's an extra seat just for you if you'd like." She blushed. Ino chose this moment to speak. " Oh but there's another right next to me too if you'd like." She pushed Sakura aside.

"No thanks, I don't sit next to rude, immature people." He spat. I muffled my giggling as I saw the look on both their faces. "But Sasuke-kun, how could you say that-" "Alright class settled down!" Iruka-sensei yelled as he got into class. The two girls grumbled as the went to their seats.
I walked to my seat as I pulled out my books, happy to be back at school.

...

"Hey Naruto, welcome back!" Choji smiled. "Hey Choji, I'm happy to be back." I said as I packed away my books. "Welcome back Naru." Shikamaru said as he yawned. "Hey 'Maru, how are you?" I smiled as I got off my chair. "Tired, what about you?" He slowly got off his chair. "I'm hungry, let's go out and eat." I clapped as I pulled out my lunch. "Sounds like a plan." Sasuke exclaimed as he grabbed his and my lunch. "Hey I can carry that myself." I huffed.

"A 'thank you' would be nice." He scoffed. I rolled my eyes. " Thank you." I dragged. I was about to leave when Hinata approached us. "H-hi Naruto." She waved shyly. "Oh hi Hinata, what's up?" I smiled. "I just w-wanted t-to say tha-t you were s-so cool last w-week. I w-wish I had h-half the c-con-fid-ence you h-have." She stuttered.

My heart warmed up at her praise. "Oh Hinata thank you, but seeing as how that confidence got me suspended, I shouldn't be someone you look up to. And don't beat yourself up, I'm sure approaching me must've been scary, but you still did it am I wrong?" She shook her head. "See? You're confident too. Wanna eat with us?" I asked as I held her hand. Her face seemed to redden as I waited for her response.

She nodded meekly. "Great! Let's go get your lunch. Guys I'll be right back." I smiled as I dragged Hinata to her seat. Once we got there she took her lunchbox out of her bag. "Here, let me carry that for you." I said as I took it. "O-oh th-that's ok!" She stuttered as she tried to get it back. "Oh I don't mind, allow me to do this for you." I looked at her as she slowly let go of her lunchbox. I smiled as we walked to the rest of the group.

"Hey guys Hinata's going to join us from now on, so be kind to her please!" I said as I introduced Hinata to everyone. "H-hi everyone..." She greeted. "Hey Hinata, welcome to our group." They all said. I watched her smile when suddenly, my stomach rumbled. "Alright now that's done with let's go eat now, I'm hungry." I sighed. I heard Sasuke chuckle but quite frankly, I was too hungry to even think of arguing at that moment.
Soon enough we were out of class and at our usual seats in the cafeteria, with a new friend of course.
