"T-Tou-san?" I asked as I knocked on the door. I heard a gruff "Come in." and opened the door. "What do you want?" He asked. I looked down and took a deep breath. "I... May I p-please go t-to the C-cinema w-with m-my fr-iends t-this S-Saturday?" I asked, my whole body trembled with each word.
He looked at me for a second before he settled his gaze on the documents in front of him. "Who are these friends of yours for you to suddenly have the courage to speak to me?" He asked. "Naruto a-and S-Sasuke, T-Tou-san." I said, my gaze on him wavering.
"Hm, I'll think about it. Go now, you'll be late for school." He dismissed. I nodded and walked out of his room. I closed the door behind me, then took in a deep breath. 'I did it!' I rejoiced mentally as I walked towards the front door. Once I left the house, I got into one of our family cars and greeted my personal chauffeur.
He nodded at me and soon drove off to school. What felt like a long journey was actually 15 minutes. I got out of the car once we reached the front gate. I closed the door once I took out my bag and watched as the car drove away.
I then walked into class only to find Sakura, Ino, Kiba, Shino and others. I walked to my seat and put my bag on the chair. As I made an attempt to walk out I heard Kiba yell out my name. "Wait, Hinata!" He said as he rushed to where I was. "Hey." He smiled. "H-hi Kiba, w-what's up?" I asked.
"I, I just wanted to say hi." He looked down. "O-okay." I smiled. "Uhm actually, I was wondering if you'd like to-" "Hinata!" I turned to see Naruto behind me. "N-Naruto!" I smiled. She hugged me. Once we broke the hug I turned to Kiba. "I-I'm sorry, w-what did y-you say?" I asked. "Nevermind, see you around Hinata." He said as he walked away. "What's wrong with him?" Naruto asked. "I... d-don't know?" I said. She shrugged as we walked to her seat.
On the way we had to walk past Sakura and Ino. "Did you hear her? It's like she can't say a damn thing without stuttering, hahaha!" Ino laughed . "I know right?" Sakura said as they continued laughing. I looked at Naruto. She had her fist clenched and her face slowly reddened in what I assumed was anger.
"N-Naruto?" I held her hand. I led her to her table, put her bag down, pulled her chair and had her sit down. "N-Naruto." I made her look at me. I then shook my head sternly. "But Hinata-" I shook my head again. She sighed softly. "Alright fine, you win." She smiled. I smiled too and then tried to change the subject. "I a-asked T-Tou-san a-about S-Saturday." I said.
"Really? Oh my goodness Hinata I'm so proud of you! What did he say?" She asked. Seeing her reaction made me happy, She's proud of me... "H-He said he'll th-think a-about it." I looked down. "Oh... Well that's okay! He'll probably say yes, don't worry." She assured me. I nodded.
We continued talking about how our day was yesterday. "I'm so tired." She said. "W-why, w-what h-happened?" I asked, worry flooding my nerves. "Oh it's just that Kaa-chan spent 3 hours getting me fit." She sighed. "W-why?" I asked. "She said it's to help me learn how to defend myself." She groaned. I couldn't help but giggle at her facial expression.
"Wow Hinata, laughing at my expense." She faked a tear. This only made me burst into laughter. "Hinata..." She whined as she shook my back and forth. "S-sorry Naruto, you ju-just l-looked so f-funny I h-ad to laugh." I said through laughter. She smiled softly. "I'm glad we're friends, Hina." She said softly. "M-Me t-too, Naru." I agreed.
"Sasuke-kun!" We heard Sakura and Ino yell. We turned to the direction in which they screamed and saw Sasuke close by. Sakura pushed Ino out of the way and ran to him. She put her hands on his shoulders and bat her eyelashes at him. "Hi Sasuke-kun, I missed you." She said. Sasuke then removed her hands from his shoulders and firmly moved her away from him.
"Sasuke-kun, I-" "Of course he wouldn't want to talk to you Sakura. He has eyes for me, isn't that right Sasuke-kun?" Ino boasted. "No, I'm not interested in any of you." He rolled his eyes as walked to his seat, next to Naru. They both gasped before they looked at us. They gave us threatening glares but never approached us.
