"Happy birthday Izumi!" I heard as soon as I got into class. "Thank you Aiko." I smiled as she hugged me. "How does it feel to be 14?" She asked. "It feels great." I said. 'A year closer to being married to Itachi? Of course I'm feeling great.' I thought happily.  " I'm glad you feel that way. Anyway did you hear, Rika's out of the hospital. She's back now." She said.

My mood dropped a bit but I put on a smile anyway. "Isn't that...great? That means she's fine now." I struggled to find the right words. She raised a brow at me. "Don't look at me like that. Just because she treated me badly doesn't mean I want her dead." I huffed. "Okay then, let's sit down, class is about to start." She said as she dragged me to our seats.

...

I looked around the cafeteria for him, but with no luck. Just when I was about to give up I heard, "Hey Izumi." I turned to see just the boy I was looking for. "Ita-kun, hey." I smiled. I then led him to a table near the edge of the room. "How are you feeling?" I asked once we sat down. "I'm feeling better, but enough about me. Happy birthday." He said as he pulled out a gift bag. "Oh Ita-kun you shouldn't have." I said as I opened it.

"I wanted to." He shrugged. I sighed as I pulled out various things. A purple bow, a new cellphone with it's matching phone case, which was purple, a birthday card, a small bouquet of daisies, some sweets and a mini cake. He opened the cake and put 14 candles on. He then lit them with ease. "Make a wish." He said.

I closed my eyes for a second, opened them then blew them out. "What did you wish for?" He asked. "It won't come true if I tell you." I giggled. "That's fair, are you ready to cut the cake?" He asked. "But we don't have a-" He pulled out the knife before I could finish my sentence. "Of course." I laughed. "What can I say, I'm always prepared." He shrugged.

He gave me the knife and allowed me to cut it first. I tasted it and found that I liked it. "Mm, what flavor is this?" I asked. "Red velvet, it was a risky choice but I thought you'd like it." He said. "I love it, this might actually become my new favorite flavor of cake." I smiled. He smiled back as I cut him a piece and we continued talking.

"You're overworking her, Koi." He sighed. "I think I'm working her just fine thank you." I huffed as I took off my stethoscope. "She can barely move whenever you're done with her." He argued. "That's why I prepare a warm bath for her each time." I countered. I honestly don't understand why we're having this conversation.

"Tsunade," Oh so now he's calling me by my full name. "Jiraiya Senju." I folded my arms. He sighed before he approached me. "You don't understand, Naru's still a child, she's still developing. Her muscles can't handle such strain. At the very best have her work out for atleast an hour, I don't want you to stunt her growth." He held my hands.

I looked at him for a second before I sighed. "I just want her to be strong as soon as possible, we don't know when he will be back." I squeezed our intertwined hands. "Tsuna-koi, this excessive worrying won't do you any good. Look she will be strong, just give her the training you are giving her but tone it down, please." He hugged me. I hugged him back as I breathed in his scent. He was always the calmer one between the two of us.

I heard a knock before the door opened. "Dr. Senju, apologies for my interruption but you're needed in the operating room on the third floor." A nurse said. "I'll be right there." She closed the door as I looked at Jiraiya.
"Duty calls." He said. I nodded as I broke the hug. I fixed my coat and put my stethoscope around my neck. I then put a pen in one of my pockets and tied up my hair.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" He asked. I rolled my eyes before I gave him a light peck on the lips. "Happy?" I asked with an uncontrollable smile. "No, but it'll do for now." I hit his shoulder. He 'winced' before he chuckled. "I'm leaving." I said. He nodded as he stepped out. I then stepped out and closed the door.
