"Damien just put the bag in the God damn boot before I shove you in the fucking boot," threatens Max sneering at Damien who blinks back unfazed.

"I can't, do you think I want to crease my leather jacket."

I can't believe he's bringing a leather jacket with him. There is literal snow on the ground, he would freeze to death

"I give up," exhales Max throwing his hands in the air in defeat. "He's all yours Kent."

Kingston snatches the bag off Damien and throws it in the boot. I try not to laugh at Damien's heartbroken face and I pat him sympathetically on the back.

"The jacket will be fine," I promise and he seems to brighten at that.

"Not that you'll be wearing a jacket anyway because it's a ball and we wear suits," Alex comments coming up beside me. Damien's eyes lose all light and I dig my elbow harshly into Alex's ribs.

"Oww, what was that for?" He grumbles rubbing the sore spot.

I scowl at him and hiss, "you will make him cry."

Alex rolls his eyes and leans into kiss my forehead but I push him back.

"Blair?"

"Don't make Damien sad then," I remark and force myself not to smile at his heartbroken face.

"Come on Damien let's get into the car," I say flipping my hair over my shoulder and dragging Damien towards the people carrier.

"It's about time," grumps Eric at the wheel and I ignore him sliding into the seat beside Max. Damien sits next to me and Alex is forced to sit on the seat opposite me next to Kingston with a very not impressed look on his face whereas Damien looks very proud.

"Is everyone finally ready?" asks Eric turning around. There is a chorus of yesses before the engine starts and he pulls out onto the road.

I didn't realise how many potholes were in the road as every bump we go over sends me flying into Damien who couldn't look anymore pleased and Alex couldn't look anymore grim.

'Relax,' I mouth to Alex and he furrows his brows in response.

'No,' he responds and glares at Damien.

This is going to be a fun journey.

"Sorry," I say to Max again for the a thousandth time today. Eric is quite a reckless driver and considering we are now on country roads as the mansion is situated in quite an open area, we are constantly driving over stones rocks and yes you guessed it.

Potholes! Not to mention the fact that Eric won't even be able to see the potholes because of the snow. Near to the mansion though is a small village that has a hotel not too far so we are heading their to get changed for the ball.
