ALLEN COOK; INFERNO                                                                                                          September 18, 2022

I was running for what felt like forever, even though it was probably just over an hour. It was even darker outside now, almost pitch black. You could barely see a thing. I stopped running for the rest of the way because I was pretty sure that Mist was not going to follow me. I rushed to a stop when I heard a twig snap. I turned around so quickly that I felt a little nauseous. But when I looked at what made the noise, it was just a squirrel passing in the area. I was so relieved it wasn't them. I couldn't handle seeing them ever again. That was why I was doing this. To make sure I never have to see them again.
