RAYA ALLESTER; MIST                                                                                                                 September 22, 2022

I don't know what switched in his mind, but he went from balling his eyes out on my shoulder, to grabbing all the supplies, grabbing ME, and driving as fast as he could to get out of there.

I didn't know where we were going, but for some strange reason, I trusted him to keep me safe.

We drove for what seemed like forever. We went so far out, I didn't recognize anything there, and I've lived here for my entire life.

When we arrived, it was not what I was expecting. It looked like a normal, regular suburban home. I hopped out of the car right when it slowed to a stop. I ran to the front door and tried the handle. Of course, it was locked. I looked around the place until Allen came up behind me with the key in his hand. I looked confused so he said,

"It was under the pot, like every suburban house."

He used the key and we were in. I made sure to check if the coast was clear, which it was. I listened to see if I could hear anyone in the house, especially Alurra. When I couldn't hear anything I started to look around. The house wasn't too big. The living room seated at least six people. The kitchen was very clean. Not a single spot. Now, the dining room was another story. There were papers everywhere. I didn't have time to look at what was on them, so I grabbed them and put them in my bag. I looked around for Allen when I saw him in the corner. I didn't realize that this could be a lot for him at the moment. So, I went over to him and gave him a little hand squeeze. He responded the same. For the rest of the time we spent looking on the bottom floor, we held hands to comfort each other. Finally, when we concluded that there was nothing on the first floor, we went upstairs. The stairs were older, and would creek every other step. It just added to the creepiness of the silent house.
"Hey Raya," Allen asked.

"Yeah?"
"I need to go downstairs to just get a breather. I don't want to have a panic attack in the middle of trying to save your sister," he said with visible panic rising in his eyes.

"Sure go ahead. Do you want me to come with you?"

"No, no it's fine. I'll just be quick."

He let go of my hand, but not right before I was able to give him a small hand squeeze. When he left I thought about what has happened in the last few hours. My sister got kidnapped. I told Allen that I was Mist, and I think I might be starting to feel something. I don't know what it is, and I don't know if I want to know what it is.

While I was deep in thought, I didn't hear the guy, sneaking up on me. He was able to grab me and put his hand over my mouth so I wasn't able to scream and let Allen know that they are here. He pulled me into the last room we had yet to search. There, I saw Alurra, tied to a chair with a gag over her mouth to make sure she couldn't scream. But something was off, her head was hanging, and she wasn't moving. I feared for the worst. I started to thrash, not wanting to accept it.

"Hello Raya, or should I call you Mist." said the guy in the corner.
