ALLEN COOK; INFERNO                                                                                                              September 22, 2022

I don't know what to think right now. Raya is Mist. How did I miss that? She has the same, slightly curly brown hair as Mist. And those eyes, how did I not recognize them when she looked at me? I knew there was something I recognized about her, but I just couldn't place it. Now that I know, I don't know, if that makes sense. I told her that we would figure this out later, and focus right now on finding her sister, and that's true and all, but I don't know what is going to happen after we find Alurra. Maybe we will become, like, friends, or maybe we will become even worse enemies to a point of no return. But there was something else that I was thinking about. She knew who I was this entire time we were walking, and talking about.

I came back to reality when I remembered that I was still holding her in my arms. I noticed that her breathing has slowed to a slower pattern, and she was kind of drooping in my arms. I realized that she had fallen asleep from all of her panicking. I picked her up and placed her in her bed, but as I tried to walk away, she grabbed my arm and pulled me into the bed with her, holding on tight to my waist as I might never come back again. I froze. I didn't know what to do in these types of situations. After a while of just not moving, I relaxed more and just got more comfortable. I felt like I had to stay with her and comfort her. I didn't know what I was thinking, but right before I was just going to give in to taking a nap, I gave her a small, barely even noticeable kiss on her forehead.
