Bryan's POV
Everyone in Inpu's family knew the two of us were married by now, mostly because Inpu had been spending hours figuring out how to stay underwater as long as I did, but either way, they did know.
Most of the struggle with Inpu staying under water longer, despite being able to breath, he wasn't used to currents so they made him sea sick.
We often practiced in the tank so we didn't need to worry about anything outside to bother him, but it didn't stop Helios from messing with him by swimming around him as fast as possible.
I was just laughing at him before helping him out a bit, until Anubis came in looking for the two of us.
Once we noticed him, we quickly got out of the water and Inpu put some dry clothes on.
"Hey, dad, did you need something?" [Inpu]
"Yes, actually I did, I actually just finished something for the two of you and wanted to show you" [Anubis]
"Oh? What is it?" [Bryan]
"Something I've been working on for when you both got married, and since its done and you both are married, its time I show you" [Anubis]
I just looked at Inpu confused before the two of us went to follow him.
Anubis started by bringing us to the other side of the village where the public beach was and I just started to look around since I hadn't been there before.
Eventually, we reached a large house that looked brand new.
It was partially in the water, so if there was a hatch at the bottom, I could easily slip in and start swimming, so assuming the house was what Anubis wanted to show us, I could tell I'd be very happy at least.
He brought the two of us inside and in the middle of the entrance, there was a large tank filled with fish and coral, only one missing from it was Helios who I had in a small water bubble I had circling me.
Inpu seemed decently surprised and almost amazed.
"So how did you come across this place?" [Inpu]
"I had it planned for it to be built so you could move in once you finished school, but then you got married, so I figured it would be good to give you both your own space" [Anubis]
"This place is amazing, its clear there is so much care that was put into it" [Bryan]
"There was, and it wasn't just for Inpu" [Anubis]
"What do you mean?" [Bryan]
"Well, when I found out you and Inpu were going to get married, I put in a few things for you as well, so you have more space to relax in water along with having a space under the water where you and Inpu can relax since I know you didn't exactly have many spaces to relax" [Anubis]
"So did you do extra research on sirens or did you guess cause just from what I'm seeing it looks almost identical to siren canyons which is where my pod would normally be now" [Bryan]
"I did do the research, after all, now you're my son in law, I also want you to be comfortable" [Anubis]
"And a few months ago you wanted me to kill him if he ended up being fine" [Inpu]
"To be fair I did survive a siren attack" [Anubis]
"We know, you've only told the story to us 100 times" [Inpu]
"To be fair, it isn't a common feat, while I wouldn't bring it up as much as he does, it is something that is good to celebrate" [Bryan]
"Don't take his side" [Inpu]
"Anyways, I still need to prepare my crew for the day so my shop is set for the night" [Anubis]
"Alright, is our stuff going to be dropped off later or what? Also what is my deal with school?" [Inpu]
"Your stuff will be here within the week, you still need to go to school, so I'll have the movers set up your stuff assuming Bryan knows where you both want things" [Anubis]
"That should work, we'll talk it out before everything arrives, thanks again, dad" [Inpu]
Anubis left long after meaning it was just Inpu and I home alone.
We decided to take a look around and check each room since we didn't know what was in the house and what would be brought over.
There wasn't much there, but we had enough stuff to get us through the week until Inpu could go out and get more food along with some furniture that we'd need like a bed and somewhere to sit.
Inpu decided to make some food while I went to move things inside the tank so I was comfortable if I was hanging out in it, but it was mostly investigating the hides and letting Helios swim around.
Around an hour later, there was a knock on the glass, so I got out to see what my husband needed me for.
"Yes, my love~"
"If you're willing to eat something that isn't seafood, I made steak and potatoes"
"Sounds yummy, anything you want me to do before I head over to eat?"
"Well, we have a place to ourselves, if you want to dress down I won't complain"
"Give me five minutes to change into some more traditional siren clothes"
"Is that really dressing down for you?"
"Your definition is wearing something the public shouldn't see, so why not wear my traditional clothing since it is more see through compared to the clothes you've bought for me"
"I like the way you think, I'll see you in the dinning room"
I quickly got changed and went to where Inpu was in the dinning room after grabbing my plate.
"So, what do you think of the new place so far?"
"The tank is nice and spacious and there are a lot of hides, that's all I've really looked at, but I think its very nice"
"I'm glad you're happy, that's really the most I was worried about"
"Why? You know I'm low maintenance when it comes to living spaces, I'm more of a pain when it comes to food compared to my space"
"True, I guess I like making you seen more like a king in your mind then you make yourself seem"
"I'm more of a queen than a king when it comes to my job, the queen takes care of the pod closely while the king takes care of the pod from a distance"
"So I'm the king and you're the queen?"
"Yup, I think it fits you well, after all, you took my section of the pod when they had no where to go, that's gotta count for something"
"I guess it does"
Inpu and I continued to talk while we ate for a while.
Once we finished and cleaned up, we went back to practicing Inpu's water sickness prevention which ended up being pretty good since he could now stay in the tank without getting sick.
We only stopped when we fell asleep on one of the ledges, and despite it not being a normal spot for Inpu, it was comfortable.
