Inpu's POV
After months of just not wanting to be in school, I was finally able to graduate early.
My school had a program where if you got enough credits, you could be elidable to graduate early at one of their graduation ceremonies at the end of the month.
When I received the letter saying I passed the final exam for the program, I was so excited that I think I scared Bryan a bit because of my reaction.
As I was waiting for the ceremony to start, I noticed there was a small opening so we could see who was going to be watching before we sat down, so I decided to see who was there.
I saw my parents Magnus, Bryan, my friends, and Bryan's pod all waiting there for me.
The pod was a bit more of a surprise, but I started to practice staying underwater in the pods area as of recently and when the others would ask about us, Bryan would just say that I was his king, so I guess that's why they came.
Around half an hour later, the ceremony started and the few of us who qualified were brought up to give speeches and receive our diplomas.
Because there were only a few of us who qualified, the ceremony was fairly quick, so as soon as it finished, I ran to my husband and gave him a kiss before saying anything.
I heard the others start clapping and one we stopped, Bryan began to laugh about it.
My friends had to go cause they had other things they had to do, so it was just my family and Bryan's pod left.
"Is there a reason your pod is here or did they come just because?" [Inpu]
"Well, only queen sirens really have any ceremonies, so when a king has one, everyone should be present" [Bryan]
"I hope you know that the only time you can ever expect me to be near this many sirens at once is when you have the other marriage ceremony" [Anubis]
"Darling, shut up and enjoy the moment, this is your son's graduation, don't let the sirens bug you, they won't do anything as long as Bryan is here" [Izanami]
"Yeah, dad, they won't hurt you, technically they're my pod, so unless for some reason I want you dead, they are just here for fun" [Inpu]
"On another note, I have stuff at home for us to prepare for dinner, so if anyone wants to come with us to our place, we have stuff for everyone" [Bryan]
"As much as we would love to, we have a few things at home we need to deal with, so we unfortunately can't" [Anubis]
"You guys are fine, I kinda expected that, I'm just glad you're here for the ceremony" [Inpu]
The rest of my family just nodded and Magnus gave me a quick hug before we left, leaving me with Bryan and his pod.
"So, you said you had food, what kinda food are we talking?" [Mario]
"I assume some kind of fish, that's all we really eat" [Ashara]
"Actually, I bought chicken, I figured we could try something new" [Bryan]
"Do you even know how to use the stove let alone cook a chicken?" [Inpu]
"I will need help turning on the oven, but I found a cook book for beginners, so that should help!" [Bryan]
"Aren't you the same siren that chocked on a fish bone the first time you went hunting?" [Elio]
"Nah, that was Kay, Bryan missed four times then managed it perfectly" [River]
"Not one of my most proud moments" [Kay]
"You at least learned from it, for years Aphrodite refused to acknowledge that we were friends with Bryan until it was worth a damn for her to get rid of us" [Mania]
"And look where that got you, now all of you are in a pod run by a human and a siren technically" [Inpu]
"Hey, you're a better royal for a pod then Bryan's mother ever was" [River]
They each began to laugh a bit before we started to head to my home so we could enjoy a nice dinner.
As we were about to reach the house, I heard a voice I wasn't excited to hear, but it could've been worse.
I turned around and saw Kaiba running over to me, I didn't have anything against him, he wasn't one to torment, he was just more of a stuck up snob compared to others, so he annoyed me more than anything, but I still considered him a friend.
"Hey, Inpu, I heard through the grape vine you graduated early" [Kaiba]
"Yup, we're actually about to go home for dinner, we will have extra food so while I normally wouldn't invite anyone else, if you're comfortable being at a table with a bunch of sirens, you're welcome to join" [Inpu]
"I appreciate the invite, are any of these sirens hot?" [Kaiba]
Bryan's attention was grabbed when Kaiba said that, so I sent him to take the others to the house while I continued my conversation since didn't want any of the pod to overhear.
"I'm only attracted to one of them, but there is one I think you'd like"
"Oh yeah, which one?"
"Tall, red hair, green eyes, that's all you'd find interesting after all"
"You've known me what, a year, and you already know my type, I would be interested in meeting this siren you speak of"
"Then I'll let you speak with him while I help my husband make dinner"
Kaiba agreed to my terms while we went into the house.
I sent Kaiba to speak with the pod and get to know him, or more so Ashara, while I met Bryan in the kitchen so I could help him with making dinner.
Bryan was mostly just cutting up vegetables while I snuck up behind him and just put my head on his shoulder.
"So may I ask what your conversation was about?"
"I may or may not have managed to get Ashara a date"
"So its the guy you said would be a good match for him?"
"Yup, we'll find out in around a month or two if I was correct"
"You probably are, I had the two of them next to me for like five minutes and I could feel the connection between the two, matches and soulmates have a very strong connection that most other sirens can feel, its how matches can tell who isn't their own match"
"I feel like I learn more about sirens just from basic conversations with you"
"And I learn a lot about what dads should be like, after all, I've never met mine"
"My dad isn't a good example for how other dads act, but I'm glad you can understand what its like to have a dad, any idea on what actually happened to your father"
"From what I've found out from looking around, my father is unpodded and left my mom before my egg hatched, from what my mother has told me, its because he hated her, but it was likely because my mother was super controlling"
"For all you know, maybe not meeting your dad is a good thing, don't get me wrong, if you want to find and meet him one day I support you, but what happens if he's just like your mom?"
"I really don't think of my parents a lot anymore, my mother still has three months until she comes here, but with what our life is like right now, I'm happy, we don't have anything to worry about when it comes to the agreement, life is good"
I just nodded in agreement and started to help Bryan make dinner.
