Inpu's POV
Despite sirens being a constant worry around the docks, it didn't stop my friends from constantly going to the hidden grotto on the far side of the village where no one ever traveled.
I normally would go and just not swim, but I decided to bring Bryan with us this time since I figured he could enjoy ocean water without having to help with work, and we didn't need to worry about siren attacks since one was with us.
We were just enjoying the warm water and I constantly saw Bryan trying to swim out into the deep ocean, but with the boats, he wasn't having much luck.
Magnus kept trying to swim out as far as he was, but ended up running out of energy half way there, so Bryan ended up helping them back to safety.
The entire time, we were just enjoying ourselves, until Bryan sensed something in the water and told us to get to shallow water.
"What's in there, something dangerous" [Xylo]
"Is it treasure? We each could always use a bit extra money" [Nad]
"For all we know, he can't tell what it is due to our shouting" [Inpu]
"I don't think that's it, from what you've observed, he can sense anything despite surroundings, so my guess, he can't pinpoint where it is" [Magnus]
We just watched him for a while, until he seemed to be pulled under.
All of us began to panic, not knowing what was happening, until on one of the far ends of the beach, Bryan came out with what I was assuming was another siren's body soon after, and we all rushed over to see what happened.
Bryan seemed to have something sharp in his hand, but seemed more scared than everything.
The second siren shifted quickly and just starred Bryan in the eyes, and it was obvious they knew each other.
"Why are you here?" [Bryan]
"Originally I left so I could make sure you were ok, then your mother tried to convince me to bring you home, so I came to check then go back and lie" [???]
"Who are you?" [Inpu]
"Yeah, and why are you trying to mess with my brother's siren" [Magnus]
"Are you owned by humans?" [???]
"Not owned, just remaining with them until I find my match" [Bryan]
"Your match is human!?! Bryan, this is awesome and terrifying" [???]
"Tell me about it, my mom is going to kill me" [Bryan]
"I'm so confused, who is this guy, how do you know him" [Xylo]
"This is River, the friend I brought up when we were talking about match making, River these are a few of the people I've started to call my friends, Inpu, Magnus, Xylo, and Nad" [Bryan]
"Wow, you got comfortable fast, I wouldn't think you'd make friends with humans" [River]
"Its not like I can connect with sirens, I was pretty much bullied to the point I wanted to leave, then my mom gave me an opening to leave, and I took it" [Bryan]
He gave us a signal we made when he wanted to leave an area, so we started to go back to my house, but River continued by saying something Bryan didn't want to hear.
"Your mother is constantly looking for you, she said if I can't find you, she will send more sirens looking" [River]
"What?" [Bryan]
"All I know about it is that she's worried that you left and frustrated that you did this as a way to get out of the marriage" [River]
"Wait, marriage? What does he mean by that?" [Nad]
