Y/n had always had moments where she wished to disappear. I mean most people do, don't they? Maybe to be able to have just a moment where you wouldn't have to worry about thing and kind of feel free. Right now, Y/n wanted that. To escape. To simply disappear."Y/n."
That voice. It only made her heart race faster. Even if she hadn't heard that voice in a long time, she could recognize it anywhere.
" Y/n."
She called out her name again. Y/n gave no reaction again. Her body stayed frozen while thoughts ran through her head. She couldn't even look at her in the eyes. I mean how could she? After everything that had happened.
" Y/n."
Y/n flinched feeling fingertips brush against her arm. Derek was now the one calling out her name.
Y/n looked up beside her meeting his eyes. He had that look on his face that reminded Y/n so much of him younger. Then again, it was understandable. It had been years since he had seen her. Y/n couldn't imagine what was going through his head." Y/n." She called out a gain.
This time Y/n had the courage to look at her. That courage immediately left her body the moment their eyes met. Y/n's hand reached for Derek, gripping the sleeve with his leather jacket.
Derek immediately took notice of nervousness that he could smell on her. His eyes slowly moved away from her before bringing them towards the woman standing a few feet away from them. That smile on her face that used to be so comforting stood on her face, only now it made him uncomfortable.
Derek never thought that in a million years he would be seeing that woman again. He never thought that in a million years he would be seeing, Amelie Arrien standing right in front the two people she once called
" her children"." Derek." She said sighing in relief with a smile on her face. She took a step forward trying to reach for the werewolf with her arm open as if she was expecting a hug but both Derek and Y/n took a step back at the same time making her stop.
Amelie glanced between the two with the smile on her face that she refused to drop. Y/n could see how she was forcing it.
" You've grown so much.." Amelie said her eyes travelling all over Derek's face making his breath hitch feeling uncomfortable.
" I'm glad you're alive. After what happened there had been rumors saying that you had died. You couldn't believe how broken I was hearing that. I couldn't keep-"
Y/n glanced at Derek seeing his fists clenching as she continued talking. It was like she was completely ignoring that whole Hale fire incident and Y/n could tell how much it bothered Derek.
" What are you doing here?" Y/n finally cut her off.
Amelie was surprised at her daughter. She hasn't been expecting her to speak to her so soon. Another smile appeared on her face as she focused on her.
" I came here to help you, Y/n." She finally said.
The sound of her voice sounded so tender that Y/n almost felt some kind of relief. Like someone, her mother had finally decided to come back to her.
But that wasn't the case." Alan called me. Said you had been having some troubles with controlling your powers." Amelie said raising her eyebrows.
Y/n took a deep breath removing her gaze away from her as she shook her head nervously.
" No. I am completely fine. No problems here. So you can-you know. Go back and leave." Y/n said shaking her head." There's no need to lie Y/n. I can see your hands. That will only get worst if you don't let me help you." Amelie said glancing towards Y/n's hands seeing the dark color that had covered her fingers.
