(Kaito pov) I along with the gang were walking up top of a hill to a city. I recognized it to be Omashu, the second-largest city in the Earth kingdom. It was considered to be the last great stronghold and has never been conquered, yet. But I knew sooner than later the city would fall, it was only a matter of time. I have actually been here before on a mission by Ozai to Learn everything I can about Omashu and find any weaknesses in the city so that when they invaded the city, they would have the advantage. Aang:" The Earth kingdom city of Omashu. I used to always come here to visit my friend Bumi." Katara:" Wow, we don't have cities like this in the South Pole." Sokka:" They have buildings here that don't melt." Kaito:" Just wait until you see the inside of the city." Aang:" Well let's go slowpokes, the real fun is inside the city." Before he could go down the hill, Katara stopped him in his tracks. Katara:" Wait Aang, it could be dangerous if people find out you're the avatar." Sokka:" You need a disguise." Aang:" So what am I supposed to do? Grow a mustache?"
While they were discussing how to disguise Aang, I was thinking about my encounter with Zuko. When I saw the look in his eyes, I immediately knew that he changed. I saw not just anger, but something like disappointment when he saw me. I guess he must've heard about my demise while he was traveling the world looking for Aang. It wasn't an easy decision to make and it's not like I had a choice to fake my death. The circumstances leading to that event were unexpected. I was soon pulled from my thoughts by Katara. Katara:" Kaito, we are going into the city, you coming?" Kaito:" You guys go on without me, I'll stay here with Appa." Katara:" You sure?" Kaito:" I'll be fine, go have fun." She left with Aang and Sokka, while I stayed with Appa to make sure that he had company and to guarantee that no one tried to take him while the others were away.
After making sure that the coast was clear, I sat back on Appa's saddle and took out a pendant that I kept hidden from everyone.

I remember when I was given this trinket by Azula before faking my death and escaping the Fire Nation to return to the Southern Water Tribe. (Flashback)(age:14) I was in my room getting ready to set out on the biggest mission I ever took. Infiltrating Ba Sing Se and figuring out how to take it out from the inside so that the Fire Nation can claim victory. I was coming up with plans when a knock on my door interrupted me. Kaito:" Who is it?" Azula:" It's me Kaito." I opened the door and let Azula into the room. Azula:" I heard that father has sent you on an important mission." Kaito:" Yeah, apparently I am to infiltrate the earth kingdom city of Ba Sing Se and attack it on the inside." Azula:" Taking out Ba Sing Se would be a great triumph in the war." Kaito:" It won't be a walk in the park as the Ba Sing Se has the huge advantage of being known as the impenetrable city." Azula:" Well if anyone can do the impossible it's you." Kaito:" Hmm, anyway I need to head off now," I said, already packing my weapons and gear. Azula:" Before you go, you should take this," she said, handing me a sword.
