The family is Chinese.
Mom/Mira: tall with long waist length black hair | job: helps with dressing wounds and feeding the children after experimentation
Dad/Jin: short and muscular with short black hair | job: plans and conducts experiments on the children
Son 1/Bo: tall with muscular build and shoulder length black hair | job: uses brute force to help with experiments
Son 2/Bodhi: same as Bo but wears hair in an updo | job: same as brother
Relationship/dynamics: Bo and Bodhi are identical twins, Mira and Jin are married
The Powerful 5:
Akua (20): back length locs, dark skin, logical, leader, avatar (earth, wind, air, fire)
Jay (14): shoulder length locs, brown skin, sneaky, super speed
Marcus (21): cornrows (3c), brawn, light skin, goofy, protector, super strength
Alex (17): mid back length curly (3b) hair, shy, light skin, tall, lanky, stretchy limbs
Yasmin (16): curly afro (4c), brown skin, athletic build, distraction (helps get the group out of sticky situations), telekinesis
Dynamics/relationships: Akua & Jay are cousins, Marcus and Alex are brothers, Yasmin grew up being closest with those four which resulted in them all becoming best friends
Background Explanation:
- The Powerful 5 got their powers as a result of multiple experiments done by the Cheng Family.
- They currently do not realize they have powers.
- All the kids grew up in not the best homes.
- All 5 of the kids learned sign language in school when they were younger and continued to use it to communicate without others knowing.
- All were sold to the same family (the Chengs) for labor (experimentation) and then would return home after "work".
- All kids are experimented on while at the house where the labor took place.
- The kids' families are paid weekly in return (and are not aware of experimentation).
- Labor or experimentation consisted of physical abuse like electrocution, beatings, and body parts being punctured.
- The torture & experimentation has been going on daily for years.
