AN: FID - Force Investigation Division

Drew's POV

I was awake but had my eyes closed, laying in bed. "Ow, I feel like I was hit by a truck," I hear Rick say, and I laugh. "Don't laugh, it makes it hurt worse. I'm already laughing," "At least it looks a bit better than it did two days ago," I say. "Yeah, you're right. But it's more painful than yesterday," He says, as we hear baby chatter on the monitor. "I don't want to go get him," I say. "Well, you have to, I can't pick him up still, and both of the older kids are not home, so that leaves you," Rick says, and I get up and give him the middle finger. "Love you too," He says, as I go upstairs.

I grabbed Azrah, and went back down to the bedroom, and put Az on the bed, seeing Rick, still laying down with his eyes closed. I went to the closet, and then heard Rick yell, and knew Az crawled on top of him. "Ow, Azrah Cade!" I poked my head out of the doorway, and Rick was holding Az in the air with a pained look on his face as he was breathing deeply. "This is your fault," he says. "Nope," "Yes it is, you're the one who put him in the bed," "Okay fine. It's my fault," I say, and hear my phone ping. "Can you check that?" I ask. "Yeah, it's from Jordy. She's asking if we want to go to breakfast with everyone," Rick says. "Sure, why not," I say. "Okay,"

An hour later

Rick's POV

We got to the restaurant and met up with everyone. "Hey guys," "Hey, how's your chest?'' TC asks. "At the moment it's painful, because of a tiny human who climbed on top of me," I say. "That was my fault, I should've put him on the floor instead of the bed," Drew says. "At least I can pick him up slightly, when Az climbed on top of me, I lifted him up above my head. Only lasted a minute though before my chest hurt," I say. "That's good, means it's getting better,'' Krista says. "Yeah," "Are we gonna eat, or are we just going to stand outside the restaurant?" Kenny asks. "Yeah yeah, go inside,"

A few hours later

Drew's POV

Everyone was at the house, out by the pool, and I was inside doing something when the doorbell rang, so I answered it. I opened the door, and saw Ashley, Jack, and Nate. "Hey, you didn't tell me you were coming over," I say. "Well, we heard laughter and chatter from over the fence so we decided to come over," "Come in, everyone's outside,"

We went to the backyard. "Hey Ashley, Jack," "Hey Rick, how are you doing?" Jack says. "Better than I was two days ago," "That is quite a bruise you got," "Yeah, my vest saved my life. And trust me, you do not want to know the story behind it," "You guys hear anything back from the biopsy?" I ask. "Yeah, stage 2," "That's good though, it's not any worse than it is," TC says. "Yeah, I start chemo next week,"

The next day

"Ugh, Yay pictures," I hear Rick say. "What happened?" I ask. "It's media day at work, everybody's gotta get new headshots for IDs, and team pictures, for the SAPD webpage," He says. "Okay," "Lightwood said that you have to get your picture taken but be in your swat uniform, since you don't have a formal police uniform," "OK. Oh, also you're not allowed to watch TV shows that have police in them that aren't real life anymore, except for Nightwatch, that show is fine because it's a real-life show," I say. "Okay," Rick says, laughing.

Rick's POV

Drew and I got to the police station and went in for pictures. "Hey Rick, how are you?" Deacon asks. "I'm okay, still sore, just taking it one day at a time," I say.

We took headshots, and then changed into swat uniforms, and took team pictures. "Rick, move closer to Drew," Lightwood says, and I move closer. "Any closer and your left foot is going to end up in between my feet," Drew says. "That's the whole point," I say back. "Is that your way of flirting?" Rocker asks. "No! Definitely not," I say. "You sure, about that?" Drew asks. "Quit talking, more smiling," "Yes sir,"
