WORKING IN THE infirmary most of the days, Andie helped out a child of Hephaestus with burn injuries when her step-sister came in with a wide grin on her face.

"Today's the day. He's totally asking me out today." She decided. Andie tried not to roll her eyes.

"You realise you can charmspeak him into doing that, right?" The Daughter of Apollo sighed.

Aurora Schuyler was the daughter of Aphrodite, so she was all for the love department of things. And she was awfully pretty. You could see that from her beautiful red hair, electric blue eyes and little dots of freckles everywhere. Everyone thought she was one of the most gorgeous girls at camp.

That's why Luke Castellan naturally took a liking to her. She was charming, sweet, and easily devoted to the ones she truly admired.

"I know that. I want this one to be genuine."

Aurora smiled. She was so in love with this guy it was painful to watch.

How can someone be this infatuated with Luke Castellan?

"I'm sure he likes you, Aura. Who doesn't?" Andie smiled.

"Awh, Drey-Drey. You're too sweet!" Aurora grinned and ruffled her step-sister's hair.

Andie scowled. She hated that name, despised it. Who in their right mind would ever come with that from Andromeda?

She finished healing the firegod's child and reluctantly listened to Aurora's endless gushing about Luke Castellan, rolling her eyes.

"He's so cute!"

"He's such a gentleman!"

"He helped with my armour during Capture The Flag!"

"He's so sweet!"

Sure, Luke was cute. Most girls at camp thought so, even some of the guys. Golden boy. Everyone was naturally drawn to the scar on his face, as well as his smirk. Even he had nicknames for the girl.

"Andie, Luke's the one, I know he is," the redhead smiled brightly.

Was she even as close to him as Andie was?

"Mhm," the girl mumbled, looking at the window.

"Look, Aurora. I'm so happy that you've found the love of your life, your 'soulmate', but seriously, I don't want to hear about your wedding, or some other stupid plans, since I'm going to be there anyway. Talk to Silena, she's more into this stuff."

Aurora frowned, "you're no fun," she complained, exiting the infirmary.

How anyone would like a child of Hermes was beyond her. Criminals, liars, cheats, you name it. They're not as cool as anyone pointed them out to be.

She hated those kids because they got away with every little thing they did. At this time, she was tiptoeing around Chiron and Mr D after countless incidents. Most famously the one with the snakes. They didn't trust her anymore — so going on quests wasn't a question. Nor, did she want to go.

She hated them mostly because of their urge to bolt whenever things got good.

If you manage to understand a child of Hermes, they would've already known all of your quirks ages before. Therefore, they can choose how much empathy they give you and when and how to leave you.
