As soon as I arrived to the Ice Mansion, I sent one of my kakushi to Obanai's Serpent Mansion with a message asking him to come over. A few hours later he did, since our mansions were only about 2 1/2 hours of walk away from each other. I explained everything that happened. He nodded.
"Y/N, do you think that it was a good idea to let that demon - what was her name, Nezuko? - live?"
"I don't know. I don't like it, but it's rare for Giyuu to have mercy, so he must have really believed in them."
A few hours later, Obanai left, and a bit later i fell into one of my month-slumbers. They were regular now, usually happening once a year, usually the same month. A month later, I woke up and asked my kakushi what had changed during my sleep. They claimed nothing had happened, but I sent Obanai a message asking him, since I didn't trust my kakushi.
Obanai told me that indeed, nothing has happened. I decided to go spectate every Final Selection until I found Tanjiro.
Final Selection happened every two months, so even with my two more month-long slumbers, I was able to spectate every Final Selection. About two years after I started checking for him, I found Tanjiro.
He wore a sea-blue haori and a fox mask with a sun design on it.
I jumped down and greeted him.
"It's been a while, Tanjiro. I see your sister isn't with you."
Tanjiro tensed up, but then he seemingly recognised my voice.
"You're the Ice Hashira..."
"Y/N Iguro."
I finished for him. Since Final Selection has just finished and the new mizunotos has just been told about the ranks, this drew the attention of everyone, especially a depressed asf blonde pervert.
"Whoa! A cute chick! What's your name? And... you're a hashira?"
He asked. For some reason Tanjiro frowned, but I just nodded.
"I'm the Ice Hashira, Y/N Iguro."
