Regulus walked along kings cross station looking for the entrance to platform 9 3/4's before sighing as he walked past a kid with black hair and glasses but Regulus noticed the Hogwarts crest on the kids truck. "First year at Hogwarts?" Regulus asked the kid nodded. "Yes do you know how to get on the platform?" Regulus shook his head as a family of six walked past. "... Honestly these muggles confound me." The lady said who was holding the hand of a girl around ten years old as the four boys lead the way. "Muggles?" The boy questioned as both he and Regulus followed them and rounded a pillar to see the first one race through a pillar as the lady turned to two that looked like twins. "Alright Fred your turn." The lady said as the one she motioned for spoke. "I'm not Fred he is." He said as his twin spoke. "Honestly woman you call yourself our mother." The twin said as their mother shook her head. "Sorry George." She groaned as 'George' walked forward. "Only joking I am Fred." Fred revealed as he and George raced through the pillar in order to avoid their mother slap.

"Excuse us!" Regulus said as he and the boy push their trollies up. "How would one get-" the boy said as the lady looked between the two. "How to get on the platform? It's Ron's first year at Hogwarts as well." The lady said as the boy who nodded his head forward indicated. "What you do is aim between platforms 9 and 10. Best do it a a bit of a run if you're nervous." The lady said as the boy lined up. "Good luck." The girl said the he ran through the wall as Regulus followed behind only to come out of the wall on a different platform as he made room for Ron and his mother and sister. "Thank you ma'am." Regulus said as the lady smiled. "Your most welcome. I'm molly, Molly Weasley." Molly introduced herself as Regulus smiled. "I'm Regulus." Regulus clapped his hands together before separating them to reveal to flowers as he gave one to Molly and the 10 year old.

"As thank you." Regulus said as Molly smiled and the girl blushed before Regulus hurried off and quickly loaded his truck on the train and climbed on just as it started pulling off and Regulus found a small stall and quickly changed into his robes before walking along the length of the train to find the boy from the platform and Ron in a compartment. "Pardon by my I join you?" Regulus asked as he knocked on the door. "Of course." The boy said as Regulus sat down. "Why did you get dressed already we just left the station?" Ron asked as Regulus shrugged. "It's going to be a long trip and if I fall asleep then I'll never wake back up in time to change." Regulus said as the two nod. "Fair argument.' the boy said as Regulus stuck his hand out. "By the way I'm Regulus." Regulus introduced as the boy sat forward. "I'm Harry, Harry Potter." Harry said as Regulus nodded and a lady pushing a sweet cart walked by. "Anything from the troll dears?" Regulus stood up as Ron held up a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. "I'm good." Ron said as Regulus got four chocolate frogs and
A chocolate wand before sitting down. "We'll take the lot." Harry said as he pulled out 10 galleons. "Whoa!" Ron breathed as Regulus sighed. Hours later Regulus was shaken awake by Harry. "Come on we are here." Harry said as Regulus got up and followed him off the train and a big man named hagrid lead them down to the lake side where there was several boats.

As professor McGonagall walked the new first years down the center of the great all sure everyone was nervous but Regulus was looking down in shame as Neville tapped his shoulder. "You alright?" Neville asked as Regulus shook his head. "So many people are going to hate me you included." Regulus said as he looked up and refused to elaborate as they got to the front of the hall and McGonagall set a old dusty hat on a stool.

The great hall erupted in applause as Regulus shifted slightly and took a deep breath as McGonagall started going down the list before she took a deep breath and looked directly at Regulus. "Regulus lestrange." McGonagall said as the entire hall went silent as Regulus slowly climbed the steps and sat down facing the hall as he blinked away a year as the entire hall leveled hate filled glared at him before the sorting hat fell over his eyes. "Ah you are a breath of fresh air..." The sorting hat said as it turned Regulus head. "I sense great power in you but I also see a fierce determination... You don't have the ambition for power, so Slytherin is out." The sorting hat said as it turned Regulus's head away from the Slytherin table.

"Ah I see now a dangerous path you decided on and you don't fear the outcome." The sorting hat said as Regulus swallowed as it spoke aloud. "You belong in Gryffindor!" The sorting hat yelled as McGonagall lifted the hat and no one in the great hall clapped as Regulus walked over to the Gryffindor table and sat down as more glares were pointed at him. Regulus didn't say anything as he stared at his empty plate pretty soon the cheers resumed as the sorting continued as Regulus didn't look up even when a elbow hit the back of his head. Regulus simply bit his lip and didn't make a sound as the food appeared and Regulus started eating quietly. "Hey Regulus?" A voice spoke as he looked up to see Harry looking at him with some degree of concern. "Why does everyone seem to hate you?" Harry asked as Regulus sighed and poke at one of his bangers on his plate of bangers and mash. "It's because of my parents. They are well known dark wizards that fought for the dark lord in the last wizarding war but what got them caught was they were torturing Neville's parents. " Regulus said as he looked back at his plate. "But you aren't them?" Harry said as Regulus sighed not realizing the entire great hall heard his next words. "But still regardless I have their blood flowing through my veins and until the last drop leaves my body I'll work to prove I'm nothing like them so let them hate me, let them hurt me I'll take it all and I won't protest at all." Regulus said as he placed his fork down as the headmaster dismissed them for the night.

Along the walk to the Gryffindor common room Regulus walked towards the back no one really tried to invite him closer eventually the group came across some suit of armor floating around the hallway. "Peeves that's enough." The male prefect named Percy Weasley snapped as a figure appeared and dropped the armor and Percy and the poltergeist started bickering as Regulus sighed and stepped back and looked at the female prefect and spoke aloud. "Ma'am can we please just leave the two here I would honestly like to forget today even happened." Regulus said solomonly as she looked back at him with a sour look as she started walking. "Come along first years." She said as they left Percy and peeves. Eventually they walked up to a portrait of a fat lady who turned and looked at them. "Password?" The fat lady asked.

"Caput Draconis." The female prefect said as the portrait swung open and the first years followed the prefect in just as Percy came jogging up. "Alright this here is the Gryffindor common room the boys dorm is upstairs on the left girl the same on the right. There is several enchantments that prevents boys from entering the girls dorm but not for the girls." Percy said as Ron groaned but Regulus didn't really listen as he slide past everyone and walked past Percy slightly knocking the prefect's arm. " I beg your pardon." Percy said as Regulus sighed while hanging his head and started up the stairs and fought his trunk and flipped in bed.
