My name is Mbalenhle Ndlovu ,I'm located in the Eastern Cape at Gqeberha ,well I'm Zulu ,surely you're asking yourself that why would a Zulu be in the Eastern Cape ,but you'll find that out in another insert .Well ,I'm a brown skinned girl ,I have a very slim body ,afro hair ,beautiful smile ,I'm not tall or short in height ,well I'm a princess too in the kingdom we live in ,I'm 18 years old of age .I live in the Zulu Kingdom called emaThafeni kingdom .
Mom:Awuvuke ntombazana (Wake up girl)(She was shaking me so that I can wake up and I did just that)
Mbali:Ma ,I have nothing to do today ,I'll start hunting in the afternoon I'm tired from yesterday's birthday celebration
MaNdlovu:I'm not waking you up because of that Mbali
Mbali:(I just looked at her puzzled ,then why is she waking me up?I just sat up straight and gave her the ’okay talk’ face
MaNdlovu:Me and your father were talking today before I came here ........since yesterday you were turning 18 ,I think it is time you leave our surname now and have a husband
Mbali:(Arghhh the rule still exists ,of me marrying at 18 ,I don't want to get married people ,i have never been in a relationship before ,and it's so clear that they will choose a husband for me) Wow?but ma angifuni ukushada mina(But mom ,I don't wanna get married)
MaNdlovu:Hayi Mbali sewumdala manje(No Mbali you're a grown up now)

No this can't be happening ,dad will choose some idiot of a husband or maybe I'm just overthinking this ,my mother is right ,I'm old now and I have to find a husband ,but I'm not ready to get married ,I still want to hunt ,go to wars with my dad ,yeah there are wars here ,between the Xhosas and us the Zulu ,we don't usually fight with the Sothos ,they always fight with the Xhosas .Well when I was 16 those bloody Xhosas killed my brother in a war ,I miss him everyday ,I could've protected him ,or maybe he could've stayed but I have to accept what they did to him and someday I'll avenge my brother .Rest in peace Mangaliso .After some moments later Menzi walked in and threw a spear next to me ,well he's my childhood friend and we get along pretty well actually
Menzi:Usalele?asambe siyozingela ,ngirhalele inyama yomvundla namuhla (You still sleeping?let's go hunt ,I'm craving a rabbit's meat today)
Mbali:Okay let me bath and get dressed
Menzi:I'll wait outside
Well I took a bath from yesterday's water that I fetched from the river ,wore my cow's skin clothes ,and tied my hair into a bun ,took my spear and my arrows .We went to hunt and I saw a cheetah ,I love it's skin so I stood there and looked at it for a while till Menzi disturbed me
Menzi:What's on your mind?(he smiled and sat next to me)
Mbali: Lutho (nothing) ,I was just looking at that animal (I then stood up)it's clear we have no luck today ,and why are we hunting here today?this place is outside our kingdom
Menzi:Kuney'lwane eziningi lana (there are too many animals here)
Mbali:Right
Some guys approached us ,I got so scared because we are beefing with too many tribes and I don't want to die but I took my spear ,took a deep breath ,and kept a straight face on
Menzi:Asambe Mbali (let's go Mbali)(he was shaking ,one thing about Menzi is that he's a coward ,he has never been in a war nor trained ,he's a mamma's boy i tell you ,I just kept quite and Menzi held my hand and went behind me)
Man 1:Nizofuna ntoni apha?(What do you want here?)(he was calm ,but I'm so scared because he's Xhosa so we just kept quiet and didn't answer this man)
Man 2:Which kingdom do you come from because you're not from emaDwaleni?
Man 1:Sanuthula sithetha nani(don't keep quiet we are talking to you)
After they said that we decided to run away but we took a different route ,Menzi was just so nervous , we arrived at home late ,people were preparing for supper by then
Mbali:I'll see you tomorrow then(I smiled at him)but don't take me to places you don't know(I laughed a little)
Menzi:(He looked nervous still but yet he also laughed)Yeah eish Mbali
Mbali:Why utatazela Kanti?(why are you shaking though)
Menzi:Cha ,angitatazeli ngisathukile kancane phela cishe safa(No ,I'm not shaking I'm still scared a little though ,we almost died)(He felt at ease and laughed)
Mbali:If you say so ,let me get going then
Menzi:Uhm.....before you go ,can I get a hug(shyly)
Mbali:Angiyiboni inkinga ngaloko mina(I don't see any problem with that) (he then came closer to me ,he hugged me so tight ,his heartbeat beating fast ,he didn't want to let go until I broke off the hug)
Menzi:Bye (He smiled at me)
I went back to my hut and I found Lihle there ,well she's my cousin ,I just greeted her and started eating my food that I assume she dished them up for me
Lihle:Ngiyakubona lapha noMenzi niphana amanzi we olintshi(I see you there with Menzi kissing)(she laughed out loud , carelessly so ,well one thing about her is that she's a dumbass I tell you ,she's so silly but I really love being in her presence)
Mbali:Uyasangana nje wena(You're crazy) ,I only hugged him (I laughed too)
Lihle:Ngiyazi hawu ,bengifuna nje ukukusukela (I know ,I just wanted to start with you)(laughing)
Mbali:Let me sleep
Lihle:Before you sleep ,go to your mom's hut ,she wants to discuss something with you
Mbali:Hayi mina ngikhathele Lihle ,ngizombona ksasa(No ,I am tired Lihle ,I'll see her tomorrow)(I was so tired I just couldn't go to her not unless she comes to me)

Mbali:Arghhhhh (I stood up annoyed ,dragged my feet and went there ,I found her talking to my father ,I kneeled infront of them and greeted them)
