A/N: Is the Rookie delayed for anyone else? Last weeks episode is delayed for me, and I'm not sure if everyone has this problem or if maybe it's specific to my streaming platform.

Two days later, I had another surgery. They were able to fix my bones in the same surgery, so if all went well, I wouldn't need another surgery and I'd get to go home in a few days.

Tim has spent a lot of time out of the hospital, I'm not entirely sure why. He's been really busy with work, picking up some extra shifts to get some more money for the triplets, but it's been a lot. Something seems off. I don't know what it was, but I had a weird feeling that something else was going on.

He was here when I woke up for surgery and spent a little time with me, but left again. Angela came into the room right afterward.

"Hey, how are you-"

"Cut the crap!" I shout louder than I meant to. Angela frowns, taken aback. "Look, I'm sorry. But, I'm not stupid. I know that something is going on. Lately, it feels like everyone knows but me. What are you keeping from me?"

"I-"

She is cut off when there is a knock at the door, and the doctor comes in. "I'm here to get your cast set up."

"Oh, of course, thank you," I say.

A few days later, it's time for me to go home. Tim is coming straight from work to pick me up and take me back home. I have to use a wheelchair for a few weeks until my clavical is further healed.

"Hey, baby," Tim walks into the room and gives me a sweet kiss. "Are you ready to go home?"

He says the word 'home' with a slightly different tone, but I don't have a chance to ask him about it. He smiles seductively as he slides one arm right below my butt and the other along my back, his hand tucked under my armpit.

Tim scoops me up in his arms and holds me close to his chest. "Mm," I hum, snuggling in even closer. "I could get used to this."

He chuckles as he carries me out of the hospital. "Don't worry, I already checked you out."

I glance down at his not-so-subtle hard on before making eye contact. "I noticed."

He gasps in mock innocence. "I meant with the hospital, not whatever you're thinking of," he winks.

"I'm sure," We get to his car which is parked right outside the entrance. "How'd you get them to let you park here?"

"Being a seargent at metro has its perks."

He shifts me in his arms slightly to open the passengers side door before carefully putting me down in my seat, closing the door behind me. He then goes to the drivers side, climbing inside and starting the car before he starts driving.

Tim has one hand on the steering wheel and the other wanders to my bump, causing me to smile warmly beneath his tender touch. I put my hand on his, closing my eyes briefly to relish in the moment.

We ride in silence for a while before I notice that something is off. I don't recognize this area. This road isn't familiar in the slighest.

"Are we lost?" I ask.

"No,"

He drives for about five more minutes until we reach a beautiful coastal-style home with a view over the ocean.

"What are we doing here?" I ask Tim as he gets out of the car and comes over to pick me up. "Who lives here?"

Tim smiles and holds up a set of keys. "We do."
