A/N: Friendly reminder that I am taking some creative liberties with this story and not everything is going to be completely accurate to the show
LUCY
I have my own room in the long-term stay wing, and I'm going to be staying here until I give birth. The room itself is surprisingly nice, and it's essentially like a hotel suite, complete with a mini living room, kitchen, and even a decently sized bathroom.
Tim has gone home to pack a suitcase for me since I'm going to be here for quite a while. Someone knocks at the door, and I hesitate. I don't remember anyone planning on stopping by right now.
"Come in."
The door opens and a scarily familiar face enters the room. The scary part is that I don't know who he is or why he seems so damn familiar.
"Lucy? Is that really you?"
"Who the hell are you?" I ask, sitting up a bit straighter as I am suddenly feeling a lot more defensive.
"I'm your brother."
I scoff at him. "Yeah, right. If you're going to lie to me, at least try to make it more believable. I don't have a brother."
He sighs sadly. "Can you please allow me to explain myself? After that, you can go ahead and decide whether or not you want to believe me."
I nod reluctantly and motion to the chair beside my bed. "Go ahead."
He sits down and runs his fingers through his dark hair. "My name is Sebastian."
I freeze. My parents once mentioned that had I been a boy, they would have named me Sebastian. That's a weird coincidence.
A/N: I'm not entirely sure how old Lucy is, as I don't believe it has been mentioned in a while, so this is just a guess. It was mentioned that she was 28 in seasons 1 and 2, so for the sake of the story I'm just guessing that she's about 32 by now
"I'm thirty-seven years old, so about five years older than you are."
I stay quiet. How does he know how old I am?
"When our parents had me, they weren't in the greatest financial situation. They weren't in the right place to be able to raise a child. They knew that they wouldn't be able to provide for me. So, they ultimately made the decision to give me up for adoption."
"That's impossible. They would've mentioned you to me at some point."
"My guess? They felt guilty about it and didn't want you to think poorly of them."
"I'm not saying that I believe you..."
"But...?" he encourages.
I sigh. "...But don't you think that I deserved to know I had a brother?"
"Of course you did."
"I mean, you got to know that you had a sister, and if they were willing to put in the effort to tell you, which would arguably have been a lot more difficult, why wouldn't they tell me?"
"They didn't tell me."
"Excuse me?"
"I haven't had contact with them at all. What I know about them is limited to the information that the adoption agency gave my adoptive parents, who then told me."
"I'm sorry, but this is just too farfetched. I'm going to call my parents."
"Our parents," Sebastian reminds me. "And go ahead."
I resist the urge to roll my eyes at his correction as I pull out my phone and dial my mother, putting the call on speakerphone.
"Hello?" Mom says.
