Song of the chapter: Chelsea Smile - Bring Me the Horizon [♡]

----------------------------

- Andy's POV -

I was woken up by the loud ringing of my phone, and apparently so was Vic. He looked up around the room clearly starled. I reached over and turned it off.

"G'morining," mumbled Vic as he got up off the couch.

"Morning," I said as I also stood up and made my way to my bed.

"What time is it?" asked Vic.

"9:05," I said. "Our plane doesn't leave for another two hours, do you wanna grab something to eat before we go?"

"Sure, just give give me a second to get ready and we'll go." he said as he got out clothes from his bag. I went over to my stuff on the bed and pulled out some clean clothes. Sense Vic had gone into the bathroom I quickly changed in the room.

"What do you think we do with this?" asked Vic pointing at the cart of empty plates from last night.

"Leave it out in the hallway," I said. "They'll know to pick it up and take it."

Vic nodded and grabbed a sweater from the couch. "Ready?" he asked. I nodded in return and we walked out the door, down the hall, and into the elevator in silence.

-

Once we got into the small cafe, Vic choose seats by a big window. We sat down and waited for a waiter.

"It still looks nice outside," Vic said, "The sky looks like stained glass from up here."

"Is stained glass black, white, and grey?" I said. Before he could say anything a waiter was at our table, "What can I get for you today?" he said with a big smile.

"Um, I'll have the club sandwich, fries, and a medium coke." Vic said.

The waiter looked at me and I said, "I'll have the same." He wrote it down and walked away.

"What did you mean by 'is stained glass black, white, and grey?'" Vic asked with a small frown.

"I'm colorblind." I said bluntly. Vic just stared at me, he probably didn't know what to say. Typical. I didn't want things to change between us because of that though. I didn't want him to see me differently because of this. How much I hated being this way.

"I'm sorr-" he started to say.

"Please don't." I said cutting him off. "I don't want things to be different between us. I know I probably should have mentioned it earlier but it never really came up.." I said trailing off.

But again, before he could say anything the waiter came up to our table with our food, he set it down in front of us and walked away. "Matter of fact, I never asked where you were headed too.." Vic said.

"New York, to the Irving School, just outside of Queens." I said matter of factly. I was glad he steered the conversation away from my little problem.

His face lit up and he said, "Me too! I've never seen you on campus though, what year are you in?"

"Senior, I know it's way too late to fully enjoy the experience but I was kinda desperate to leave my old high school.." I said.

"I'm a senior too, I'm glad I met you here. I think you'll like Irving. Do you know what classes you're taking?" Vic asked excitedly.

"Yea, my schedule and stuff are in my suitcase. The rest of my things were shipped there before thanksgiving break started."

"Rad, hopefully you're room is in the same building as mine. I think my friends will like you, my friend Jaime, he's a total dork, my friend Tony he kinds keeps to himself but you'll get ..." Vic rambled on.

That's how we spent our breakfast, Vic rambling about the classes, his friends, the lunch, which I've heard is the best, and me occasionally saying something. We lost track of time and then it was 10:37.

"We'd better get going," I said. "We wouldn't want to miss the plane once again."

"Okay." Vic said as he took a last drink from his soda. We headed back to the hotel room to get our stuff. We walked there in silence, it wasn't awkward silence or the kind of silence that makes the air thick, it was comfortable silence, and I was happy it was.

Once we got to the room we gathered our things and went down to the reception desk. I checked out and gave the girl behind the counter our keys.

"So, sense we still have 5 days left of this vacation what do you plan on doing when you get to Irving?" Vic asked as we headed to the airport.

"I'm not sure, I know I have to sign in and get my room organized. Maybe look around the place." I said.

"Me and my friends will be happy to show you around and teach you the ways of Irving school." Vic said happily.

"That'd be cool," I said. We reached the airport and they were already calling our flight. Vic and I walked over to the gate and they took our luggage there. Once we passed through security we found seats towards the back and sat down, I sat down in the window seat and Vic followed. It was a 5 hour flight and I was still tired.

Once everyone was settled in the plane a flight attendant went over procedures if the pane were to crash or there was any other type of emergency. I turned to Vic and said, "If the light starts flashing green will you tell me?" I aksed kind of jokingly.

He smiled at me and said, "Sir, yes sir." he gave a small salute and we both laughed. I loved his laugh, and his smile. The plane started to take off and I was mentally preparing myslef for this flight.

~

After 3 and a half hours Vic was sound asleep on my shoulder. I got out my phone and plugged my earphones in. I let the Misfits take me somewhere else.

~

We were about to land and I gently shook Vic awake. "Vic, wake up, we're gonna land pretty soon." I said.

He looked up at me and stretched his hands. "What time is it?" he asked holding back a yawn.

"It's a little bit past two o'clock." I said. "Enjoy your nap?" I asked playfully.

"Yes I sure did." he said. He started huming to himself, he had a nice hum. If that was even possible, but I knew that if he started singing it'd be beautiful. We were then given the signal to buckle our seatbelts and we did.

In no time the plane had landed and we were at the baggage claiming. Vic and I walked over to a small bench and set our stuff down. Vic flagged down a cab and we pciked up our luggage and set it in the trunk.

"Where to?" asked the driver.

"Irving school." said Vic. Vic smiled at me and turned to the window. As we were driving the driver explained to us what everything was as we drove by it. In about half an hour we were there, Irving School. Vic paid the cab driver and turned to me and said, "It's the least I can do for letting me stay with you last night." I nodded and we got out of the cab. We got our stuff and headed towards the entrance. There was a big gate, there stood a big archway with the words,'Enter to find a friend, and become a friend.', carved into it at the top. I stopped for a second to look around. I smiled at Vic and we walked into the Irving School campus.
