Let hell begin. Sanders assured me I had nothing to worry about. First I had to talk to my dad then my mom. So it'll go from crazy to psycho. It might not be so bad... maybe... nah who am I kidding this is horrible.
I hadn't got any sleep, because I kept running scenarios in my mind of how this could go. That's how they thought, thinking of all the moves and right when it's their turn its check mate. Well I wanted to win this game and not go into stalemate.
I had put on a simple white tee, jeans and tied my hair back in a ponytail. My dad had just came out and he was buff. I knew prison changes people, but I was hoping for the other change.
"Aeron," he said dryly.
It was so weird hearing him say my name again. Part of me wanted to run up to hug him again another part wanted to runaway.
"Samuel," I said in the same mock tone.
He sat down locking his gaze on me, but it was eerie. I held his gaze and read the questions I had for him.
"Has anyone came for a visit?"
"Yes." He was so hollow and cold, it was weird to think I once called him dad.
"Could you tell me who?"
"You should know that answer by now," he said in a amusing tone.
I let out a deep sigh, trying to calm down. It was always games with him. Always guess what I'm going to say or guess who. He was trying to push my buttons and he knew what would be a trigger for me. He smirked at my response to him.
"You look like your mother when you're mad. She to tried to hold it in, but I guess you know where that got us."
"What have you been telling you visitor or visitors? I'm guessing they wanted to be just like you and Tory, right?"
His eyes darkened like I struck a nerve. Maybe he didn't like me referring to them with only their first names.
"Oh you know the usual. How are you, how's your kid, does she hate you etc. Tell me baby do you hate me?"
"What did you share?"
He slapped his hand down on the table rising up. "Dammit, I answered your question now answer mine!"
I looked at his cold harsh gaze, refusing to look away from him. I gave him a gentle smile getting my papers and standing up.
"Thank you for your cooperation. I need to step out for a minute," I said leaving out quickly.
I didn't doubt he'd hit me if he got the chance and I'd probably end up fighting him back. But if it comes to that one of us won't walk away from that the same.
I walked into the room where Sanders, Matt and Ryot sat there watching. Jess stayed home to look over the other information.
Sanders came over putting a comforting hand on my shoulder, but I brushed it off. I didn't need anyone trying to comforting me.
I just needed to cool off and so did my dad. That was just a warm up round. We haven't seen each other for along time and I'm part of the reason he's here.
Everyone in the room hadn't said a word and they stopped trying to comfort me.
When I returned to the room he was sitting, trying to take the cuffs off."You won't get them off that way," I told him, taking a seat.
"And you know how to break out off cuffs," he said teasingly.
I rolled my eyes already knowing how this was going to go. If anything I knew he wanted to make this hard on me and everyone else. He would get 'distracted' about his cuffs and won't answer a thing. And he expects me to just sit here and carry on with what I'm supposed to do. Not today.
