Nephalem Chapter 6

~CONTINUATION~

The next day

Lara and Miyamoto went out to the village, Miyamoto was called out by the Samurai Association for they'll give him a task to do. As they went there, people were stunned to see Lara yet she is stranger and newbie to them, they thought she is a kind of foreigner or a visitor of that village, they were making gossips about her and Miyamoto as well.

Lara observed the place as she looked around, observing the scene as she noticed that people were gossiping about, she could hear it. Does anyone here had seen a person like me? A Nephalem? She thought while she was walking along with Miyamoto.

They arrived at the place, Lara was surprised that people there have some katanas as what she had found in Miyamoto's house, he has two katanas as well. Miyamoto looked down at her, he noticed her curious expression as he chuckled a bit and patted her head then he gave her a positive lively smile.

"We're samurais, we do have katanas as our weapons." Miyamoto spoke to her in a soft tone, giving her a warm expression.

Lara looks up at him, she was surprised to know about that but still she was curious what are samurai. People around there (Samurais) were surprised to see Miyamoto with a foreigner girl, they welcomed him respectfully as they bowed their heads, Miyamoto just chuckled a bit and stopped them from bowing and told them that they don't have to. Lara looked around, she was stunned by how the other samurais reacted when Miyamoto was there, she stayed silent. They arrived at the office of the Superior of the Samurai Association and entered in. As they entered, Miyamoto bowed down as soon as he saw their Superior was inside the office, respecting him. Oda was the Superior of the Samurai Association, he looked at Miyamoto and caught his attention to Lara as he was surprised that Lara just stood there silently and calmly, he thought she was a foreigner as she seemed different a bit for having a blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a simple male kimono as well. Oda stood off his desk as he walks towards them, Miyamoto stood up as he smiled positively;

"Good afternoon, Superior Oda. I've heard you've called me." Miyamoto spoke sounded active to Oda.

"Ah, Miyamoto, good to see you. I have called you to tell you know this demons that have been attacking some villages these days.." Oda spoke softly as he thought about what he said then he turns to Lara.

"Oh, I see.. Glad that you told me about this." Miyamoto replied as he softened his tone as he thought about what Oda just told him.

Oda just hummed a bit and nodded a little. He got curious about her, Lara looks at him calmly as she noticed he was looking at her.

"By the way, who is this girl you're with? She seemed to be a foreigner, she might've couldn't understand what I'm speaking." Oda responded in a curious tone as he observes Lara.

Miyamoto was about to speak about Lara but she spoke.

"Excuse me but I do understand you. It must be weird but nice to meet you I guess." Lara spoke calmly.

Oda was stunned and shocked to hear these, she can speak in Japanese Language as he thought.

"O-oh, my apologies for that.. Nice to meet you as well, may I know your name?" Oda replied as he stuttered a bit as he was still stunned and shocked about these.

"My name's Lara." Lara responded calmly, looking aloof.

Oda was surprised how calm as always Lara was.

"Lara, well then I am Oda, the Superior of this Samurai Association." Oda responded in a calm tone as he felt a bit relieved for thinking that everything was alright.

Lara just nodded a bit and nodded. Miyamoto looked at Lara then he chuckled and patted her shoulder as he smiled then he turns to Oda.

"This is just Lara, she's calm and aloof as always. She can fight as well, she knows how to hold a sword, a katana." Miyamoto explained to Oda sounded excited.

Oda was surprised to know, he thought about it. Lara was surprised by those words that Miyamoto just explained as she looked at him and sighed.

"hmm.. We'll see about that... Show me some of your moves, Lara, to the training field." Oda spoke to Lara as he felt a bit excited yet calm and serious.

Lara was surprised, she wasn't expecting this since she was just with Miyamoto to join him for walking. She just hummed and nodded a bit then Miyamoto just patted her head and caressed her hair hardly looking excited and happy. 

Later..

They went to the training field as they have arrived. Lara stood there afar a bit from Oda and Miyamoto then Miyamoto walked towards her holding a katana, he gave it to her after as she took it and Miyamoto walked away as they (Oda and Miyamoto) watched her. Lara just thought of something then she made her stance and held the katana, she inhaled deeply then she exhaled, she started showing off some moves of fighting as she swayed the katana and moves like she was slashing an enemy in a air, she stayed calm and aloof while doing these. Oda was impressed by it, her movements were quite impressive to be a samurai as she seemed already expert in this. 

In a few moments later, after she showed off all her moves, Oda thought of something then he walks to Lara as he toughens himself as he looks at her and distance himself from her.

"Now let's see how you're truly good." Oda spoke confidently as he gripped his katana and unsheathed his katana. 

Lara just stayed calm, she just nodded and hummed. 

Oda charges towards her, he was fast, faster a bit than  Miyamoto, he's an experienced and an expert Samurai as he became a Superior. He had been in a battle before and won a war. As he dashed towards her, aiming his katana towards her, suddenly Lara dodges him as she moves at his back then she swayed his katana, aiming at his back and stopped. The katana blade was almost closer to at his back to hit. She moved so fast, he wasn't expecting that and he was so shocked, she moved so fast like she just disappeared from his pace and didn't noticed that she aimed at his back. That impresses him, it was too impossible to dodge from him as Oda was known for being one of the fastest samurai. He was stunned how fast Lara was, like she's not a human..
