Nephalem Chap 8

~CONTINUATION~

The next day

All samurais from the Samurai Association were called by Superior Oda, they have given a task and been told about this new demons that they have just found out. They were grouped and tasked in different parts of Japan, and Lara and Miyamoto were partnered and was tasked in Kyoto. 

Kyoto, Japan April 27, 1620 (3 weeks since Lara came to the Earth)

Lara and Miyamoto, both were walking at the city, the place is quite lively. Kids were playing can be seen, mini small stores everywhere, adult people can be seen as well and it was all fine. 

"Hmm.. It seemed alright here. Glad to see these." Miyamoto spoke gladly.

Lara just hummed softly. She looked around then they proceed walking. She was amazed by the things that were displayed from any mini stores that can be seen around. Miyamoto saw someone as he turned his attention to Lara and stopped from walking for a bit.

"Stay here for a bit, I'll talk to someone." Miyamoto ordered to Lara calmly, then he walked off as he goes to someone.

Lara just stared at him then she looked away after. She looked around, then suddenly a wagon passed by as she hurriedly got out off the way, she stared at it, she was curious about and surprised, then she looked away after. She was near the mini store as she walked towards the store, she looked all the displays, the items were quite unique as she got amazed. There was a beautiful comb with a cherry blossom flower designs on it, she thought it was beautiful that she picked it up and observes it closely. Then the merchant have noticed her, they seemed to be an old woman.

"Would you like to buy that, child?" The merchant asked. She seemed kind.

Lara turned to the merchant, she put the comb back.

"Buy?.. No.." Lara replied in a soft and calm voice. 

Lara couldn't help but admire the unique designs of the comb, the merchant noticed this as she smiled warmly.

"It's beautiful, isn't it? My great grand grandmother made this comb.. It was kept in years and I found it so I decided it to sell it and display it here." The merchant spoke to her.

"Really..? It's indeed beautiful." Lara responded.

The merchant looked at her, she stared at Lara and noticed something.

"Child, you are such a beautiful young woman." The merchant complimented her in a delightful tone as she smiled sweetly at Lara.

Lara was surprised as she blushes but still keeping her calm demeanor and a bit surprised look on her face.

Miyamoto was finished talking to someone as he came back, he was surprised when Lara wasn't at the spot as he looked around to find her, then he saw her at the antique store, he just sighed and smiled warmly. He went there, as he walked slowly, he saw Lara was staring at the beautiful comb. He thought maybe she liked the comb as he walked closer to her and stood beside her. He noticed how she stared at it, he chuckled, then he picked up the comb and Lara was surprised when he took it.

"I'll buy this comb." Miyamoto spoke to the merchant.

The merchant was glad as she smiled warmly, then she nodded. Miyamoto gave the money and took the comb, then he gave it to Lara. Lara was surprised as she takes it, she felt happy inside but still she seemed as always but it can be seen that she was happy. Then they left the store. 

Both were walking, Lara was still holding the comb, staring at it and Miyamoto found it cute and funny that he thought maybe she doesn't know how to use it.

"hey, It's a comb, we use it to comb our hair. Let me show it." Miyamoto spoke in a goofy and gentle tone as he took the comb from Lara's hand.

Lara was surprised, then Miyamoto started combing her hair gently. He was stunned when combing her hair, her hair was soft and shiny blonde hair. Lara was stunned to know it was like that, she felt relaxed for a bit cause of that. A few seconds, Miyamoto was finished combing her hair, then he gave it back to Lara as she takes it. She felt delightful, she held the comb with her arms around it as she kept it into her arms, attacked onto her chest. Miyamoto was surprised to see Lara like this, he thought it was adorable as he chuckled, and patted and rubbed her head and her hair, then continued walking together.

Later

The two encountered another demons but it was some Japanese mythological demons from the forest as they get rid of it by slashing them, killing them with their katanas and finished them. They proceed wandering around the city until it got dark. It was night, they have encountered many mythological demons around, Miyamoto could get some scars from it but Lara healed him. 

They were walking at the forest, the moon is shining at the way which they easily could walk at the way. Suddenly Lara stopped and Miyamoto as well, he was stunned by her sudden movement. Lara looked around, she felt a strange aura which she suspects this might be the demons that Miyamoto had fought. She suddenly unleashed her holy power, it was in high radiation and quite a powerful power that Miyamoto was pushed by the force but he's alright. The demons around got hit by the power that they got burned and vanished into ash. A few minutes later, Lara detected nothing, the forest was now cleared and she felt glad as she sighed in relief. She turns to Miyamoto, Miyamoto seemed fine as he thumbs up and smiled brightly, Lara just hummed then they proceed walking, wandering around for a bit to make sure that the forest are cleared and free from demons.

The two were eating at the ramen shop. Lara was staring at Miyamoto eating ramen, he eats so fast that he had ordered 3 bowls of ramen, she thought it was an idiotic behavior but it's not that bad, she started to think it was kind of funny and she felt glad when he seemed fine. She eats gently, she seemed elegant. Later, they finished eating and left the place. They proceed walking at the street, it was quiet since it's late at night they are still wandering, hunting for demons around the place. 

As they were walking, Lara was combing her hair gently and softly, Miyamoto was staring at her while they were walking. He had to admit, Lara is indeed beautiful. A few minutes of walking, Miyamoto yawned as they stopped from walking. 

"Welp, guess we'll have to sleep now. Let's find a cottage to rest." Miyamoto spoke.

Lara nodded as she finished combing, then they walked for a bit to find a cottage to stay in. Finally, they found it, Miyamoto asked for the owner to rent a room as gave them a money, then they went to the room. As they entered the room, they were two separated futons can be seen inside the room. Miyamoto laid down on the other futon and Lara was looking around and turns to him.

"You should sleep now, we have to continue hunting demons tomorrow." Miyamoto spoke to Lara as he sounded sleepy, muffled.

Lara just hummed then she sat down on the futon, she stared at him from distance, she thought they were just too far from each other, so she stood up, and dragged her futon and placed it next to him. After that she laid down on the futon. Miyamoto felt that Lara was near him as he turns himself to Lara, he was surprised that she was too close, he gave her a surprised look for a bit then he chuckled and smiled warmly, Lara just stared at him calmly and looking adorable.

"You really want to get that close, huh? Alright.." Miyamoto spoke sounded sleepy.

"It felt lonely there and I'm not used to sleep far from you." Lara replied.

Miyamoto was surprised to hear those words then he just chuckled as he hummed.

"Alright, just sleep now." He responded back.

After that Miyamoto fell asleep so quickly, Lara stared at him, she moves closer to him as she get into his arms then she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
